"...geant... Sergeant... L/N!" Y/N looked up, startled. "Sergeant L/N, head in the game." Captain Roy said, putting his hand on Y/N's shoulder. "S-Sorry, Sir." Y/N said, clearing his throat. "Don't worry, son. You'll get a shot at her." Y/N nodded, and flashed back to that day.

A mother ran through the streets, holding on tightly to her son as gunshots rang out in the air, and bullets whizzed by. She fell to the ground when a bullet pierced her leg, her boy landing a few feet away from her. She tried to crawl to him, but a heavy, metallic foot stopped her. "Hehe, dirty humans. Did you really think you would get away?" A feminine voice asked.

The boy, Y/N L/N, five years old at the time, looked up. A woman with a large arm held a sword to his mother's throat, and was digging into it, drawing blood. "Watch, you little brat, as I kill your mother." She snarled, then slid the blade swiftly across the mother's throat, killing her. Overcome with sadness and rage, Y/N ran up to the woman, and started punching her as hard as he could, to no avail.

She picked him up by the back of his shirt, and smiled. "Oh, how cute. Did you think you could stop me?" She asked. Y/N responded by punching her across the face. She spit out a tooth, and smiled wider. "Ooh, a feisty one. I'm going to enjoy this." She whispered, pressing the tip of her blade into Y/N's cheeks, and dragging it across them, making Y/N scream and flail in pain.

"Executioner! Enough of your games, you sick bitch! We have to go!" Another woman, this one with a grenade launcher, shouted from the distance. Executioner clicked her tongue, but dropped Y/N, sparing him. She began to leave, but turned back to Y/N with a sickeningly sweet smile. "Your smile is lovely~"

Y/N felt his cheeks, then looked in a puddle. His cheeks now had a permanent smile carved into them, and were hanging from his top jaw. He looked at his mother's corpse, but he didn't start crying. He'd been through this before, with his father. He already knew.

...

Y/N charged his prized rifle, an M4 SOPMOD carbine he customized himself. "Alright boys, remember; go for the red core. All of those machines have one, and if you hit, it puts 'em down quick.

"You good, Joker?" Y/N's friend, Private Walsh, asked. "Yeah, yeah... I'm good." He replied, checking his rifle again. "Okay, remember, hit those cores! Blinker Squad, move out." Captain Roy ordered. Y/N put on his night vision goggles, and hopped off the transport van.

...

Y/N quietly stepped into an alley, finding a humanoid SF T-Doll about to execute a family. Acting quickly, he pulled out a knife, and rammed it into the back of the T-Doll's metallic skull, killing it. The family ran to safety, and Y/N found a ladder behind them. Climbing it, he could see all of the chaos unfolding.

SF T-Dolls are shooting at civilians, but Y/N wasn't concerned about that. He had one doll he was looking for. After looking around for a few minutes, he found her.

Executioner flung a policeman off of her blade, and chuckled. "I can hear you, you know." She said, turning around. She tilted her head when she saw Y/N standing a few feet away, but his gun wasn't raised. "Who do you think you are...?" Executioner growled, raising her sword. Y/N said nothing, but raised his balaclava, showing his scars. Executioner looked genuinely shocked for a moment, but a grin replaced it.

"You again? My, it's been so long..." She cooed, twirling her sword. Y/N pulled out his knife, tossing his rifle aside. "Interesting... you interest me, boy~" Executioner purred, letting her sword fall to the ground. Y/N approached her, and the two began circling each other. Y/N flexed his fingers on the handle of his blade, as did Executioner with her claws.

Y/N lunged for Executioner, his blade scratching at the paint on her throat. Taken aback, Executioner swatted him away, and swiped a few times, taking his side once. Y/N rolled between her legs, and kicked her knee from the side, breaking the joint. Executioner screamed in pain, and slashed at Y/N again, but missed.

Struggling to stand, Executioner looked up at Y/N, who was holding his side. "This... is for my mom, you bitch!" Y/N roared, pinning her to the ground, and digging his knife into her throat. She struggled against him, but both stopped when they heard a scream. Turning around, they saw a little boy running from the gunfire, unaware that one of the burning buildings was about to collapse.

Y/N immediately got off Executioner, and ran to save the boy... but both were crushed under a wall that collapsed on top of them.

Executioner looked at the rubble for a moment, and thought over what had just happened. 'He gave up the chance for revenge to save a child...' She felt something in her chest tighten, and for the first time she felt... she didn't know, but she felt something.

"Hey, Executioner. How many have you killed?" Agent asked, walking up to her friend. "I lost count." Executioner replied. Agent tilted her head. "You look awfully damaged, what happened?" She asked. Executioner explained what went down.

"I see. Well, that's just another foolish heroic act that ended tragically. Humans don't really change, do they?" She asked, walking away. Executioner watched her leave, then turned back to the rubble. Lifting it up with her sword arm, she found the two unconscious, but still alive. Making sure nobody saw her, she dragged them out, and put them in an alley.

...

"God, this is horrific." SKS murmured, walking beside M14 and M1911 though the aftermath. "Sangvis Ferri will pay..." M14 muttered, her hands trembling in rage on her rifle. M1911 stayed silent, but noticed something. "Hey, over there!" She exclaimed, pointing to an alley. The other two turned to where she was pointing, and saw a member of the SAS squad sent in stumbling out with a child in his arms.

The girls rushed over, but the man collapsed, dropping the boy a few feet in front of him. "Crap! Captain Roy! We found one of your guys!" SKS shouted. Roy came running over, and rushed to Y/N's side. "Joker! Shit, Walsh, call a medic!" He shouted, then turned back to Y/N. "Stay with me, son." He said solemnly, picking Y/N up.

"...We're gonna get you home."
