Distance Between Us

I waited for some Hufflepuff's go out of the common room,they spoke untter nonsense and nonstop about Professor Dumbledore's lesson. My  raven black hair falling in my face. I still had my Quidditch gear on. Before the door closed i slide between the cracks of the wall's . "Newton Artemis Fido Lurch Scamander" I shout to find him in his same spot,in the chair closets to the fire place. 
 That made him jump at least three feet,We start to laugh,but mostly me,my stomach hurt so much after the laughter calmed down. "This news about you being Expelled must've false!"I angrily stood infront of him with my hands on my hips. 
   Newt looked up solemnly and sighed standing up,he towered over me,my 5'5" frame was nothing compared to his 6'2".
"They're true,Kat I've been Expelled and i leave tonight"Newt told me,a few tears silently fell off his face,but i could tell he's been crying much longer before.
"Oh,Newt what was it this time?"I ask softly,taking his hands in mine.
He avoided my eyes but i made him look in my eyes "I almost hurt somone Kat, but it was an accident,but,but they said it was the last staw,I'm leaving"Newt told me.
"But, you can't Newt!"I exclaimed. "W-what about Dumbledore he'll fight to keep you here".
"He already did,its no use"He said and successfully look away from me trying to hide how hurt he was,but i could see it,i always knew how he felt by his body language gave it away everytime.
I clothing changed with one spell, "Come here"I sigh and pulled the boy in a hug while,his arms warped around me and rested his head on my shoulder. His body shuddered while he sobbed,the best i could do was rubbed my hand on his back in circles comfortably,i was upset as he was.
What in Merlins beard was i going to do without him? He was one of the only friends i had here.
"I gotta go pack"
"But there's still somthing we could do,you can't leave Hogwarts"I told him, reaching up and wiping a few of his tears away with my sleeve.
    He sadly,softly smiled at me,Tucking a couple stands of my hair back. 
    "Katherine,you'll always be with me always"He kissed my forehead. "Study finish and become an Amour youre destined to be"He said before he went  up stairs to pack. 
   And that's the last thing i hear from Newt for decades. 
               October 31, 1981         
    On 4 Privet Drive,it was the day that  Vernon Dursley saw millions of owls. And that cat on the corner of the street. 
    But when he came home he saw a What looked like a hybrid Snowy and Eurasian eagle-owl. It pecked between its sliver,golden brown feathers. He looked up at the sky its still bright out. 
  Then he looked back at the owl on the tree. It just stared back at him,with medium yellow eyes. 
    It stayed there waiting,watching intel the Dursley's lights went out. Along with the rest of the neighborhood. 
   It's a decent evening for late fall. The lights of the streets went out intel only one street light remained on. 
   "Minerva" a Man with a long sliver beard said to the cat on the curb. The cat stretched out and turned into a human,with a long pointy hat. 
    "Mis.Larionovna"He said to the owl in the trees. It unfolded it wings and took a leap of faith. 
   But the claws turned into feet and a human body of a women a few inches shorter then the other wizard and witch before her. "Albus, Minerva"She said softly. "Katherine, this isn't the Ministry's -"
   "Concerns i know but just because Ive worked for the Minstery for more than 60 years doesn't mean I can't intervene sighed. 
    "Speaking of which"She turned  to the headlights coming in for a landin. 
   A vary tall man,with a vary fluffy beard plus hair.  He put up his goggles,he had a baby blanket in his arms. He grave it to Katherine, "Young Harry Potter"She whisper. 
   She held him in her arms. He had hair  a lot of hair for being about six mouths old. She moved his short bangs out of his face. A lighting scar on his forehead remained there. "Merlin's Beard, Some things leave a scar"She nodded at the sleeping child in her arms.  Her raven black bangs left in her face. Katherine is drssed more muggle than the other's. 
    "But these people are Well as normal as Muggles can get"Minerva begged Dumbledore. "Why can't Katherine take care of him"Minerva mentioned. "Growing up with expectations on you can turn ths other way plus fame a glory will get  his head finally my home isn't safe for children" Katherine told Minerva.  Her eyes looking down at the baby blanket in her arms. "Just because you have few dangerous beasts running around free  you and you're husb-"
   "That enough lady's" Dumbledore took the blacket from Katherine. They both saw Him place  Harry on the step. 
   "Now we shall be off"
    Both lady's nodded,Dumbledore walked down the alley way returning the light. Minerva left her way.
   Katherine remained on the street,with her stick. Before  the door opened,her arms truned to wings,skin Turned to feathers. 
   Petunia open the door to find a blanket with a child. She looked up an owl whooed. She slammed the door behind her taking in her nephew. As for the owl her wings unfolded. "VERNON!" Petunia shouted. A baby's cry (Not Harry).
