Quarantine Times

Alex' POV

Well, guess what, we are stuck at home. Because of COVID-19. But mainly because our president is capable of exactly nothing.

So, we are at home. With the four of us and our dog, Vancouver. We have been quarantined for a few days now, so we are starting to get bored.

A friend of ours picked up an old Wii somewhere, don't ask me where. We are playing Mario Kart against each other, with the four of us. I have won the first three games, but right now, I'm dead last.

My moms and Jax have worked together to do everything in their power to not make me win. Which is pissing me off.

Mama is sitting first, Jax is second and mom is third. Mom is really bad at the game and is mainly mowing, that's what we call it when you are constantly riding over the grass with your kart. It's really funny to watch.

Because I'm riding dead last, I'm hoping to pick up a rocket from an item box, the rainbow color block with a question mark in the middle of it.

"No, Alex, NO!", Jax shouts.

I picked up an item box, now I'm waiting on the kind of item I get. We are in the last round of this game, Jax passed Mama, who is getting pissed off, because she wants to win.

We are a very, very competitive family. I'm pretty sure the neighbors have filed a noise complaint by now. Vancouver is laying on her dog bed, with her ears down. I don't think she likes all the shouting and screaming.

"YES!", I shout.

I got the rocket.

"NO, NOT AGAIN!", Jax shouts.

I blast past everyone, just before the finish.

I won.

To the irritation of my parents and brother.

"I'm done with this game", mom says.

"I'm done too, let's play another game", mama agrees.

"I'm not done", I say.

"I'm done three, let's do something else", my brother answers.

I try to persuade them to do another game of Mario Kart, but we end up playing another game.

Which I won again.

Let's say the rest of the week, we won't play any games.

A/N: I know this is short, but I thought this would be a good way to end this chapter. I could have made the time go by slower, but I thought it would make the story boring.
