When Kairi came to, he was in a bed he didn't recognize, which was very off-putting. He sat up and looked around. The room was relatively small, only a bed, a dresser, and a mirror for furniture. He tried to recollect what happened to try and clear some confusion but he didn't remember anything after falling asleep.

Still on alert, he crept out of bed and stepped towards the door. Taking a glance at the mirror, he had to do a double-take. His wing was wrapped up. He know's he didn't do it, so who did? His heart rate increased since that means that someone definitely kidnapped him. But hey, at least they care about him enough to put his wing in place.

"Oh my word you are so dumb!" He whisper-yelled to himself when he finally realized what he'd done. How could he just fall asleep out in the open where anyone could pass by and see an angel? Was he that upset enough that he just didn't think? He shook his head a bit and continued towards the door to try and map out his surroundings.

Opening the door, directly across from him was the door to a bathroom. He peaked his head around the corner to see into the kitchen and living room area only to quickly retreat behind the wall when he saw a figure sitting there.

"You can come out here, Feathers. Don't worry, I won't bite," the person chuckled.

Kairi's eyes were wide and his breaths were fast. He looked back around the corner and took in the scene. That same demon he saw yesterday was lounging on the couch swirling a cup of coffee. He looked very nonchalant as he surveyed the city through the big window on the far right wall.

Kairi came out of the doorway finally and stood very still, never moving his eyes from the other creature, afraid that if he did something bad would happen.

Smirking, the demon set down his coffee and stood, taking a few steps towards Kairi.

"So, you wanna tell me what a pretty little angel is doing down here? Aren't you supposed to be upstairs with the big man himself?"

Kairi blushed a bit at the demon's word choice. "T-that's none of your business," he stated as he crossed his arms.

"I hate to inform you, but it actually did become my business when you almost exposed the world to non-humans. Why the hell would you sleep in public with your wings out?" The demon said while emphasizing his words with his hands.

Kairi didn't know how to respond to that. He just looked down and swallowed. He knows it was a stupid thing to do but he was too distraught at the time to really think through everything. And now that he was being question by a demon he really regretted making that decision.

When he didn't reply, the other creature moved in front of him inhumanely fast and grabbed his chin to make him look up at him. "Answer me when I ask you something."

The demon's stare was intense. This was the closest Kairi's ever been to a demon and he was surprised to see so much depth in the creature's eyes. They were red, sure, but the way the sunlight hit them made them look, dare he say, pretty? Now that he thinks about it, they look kind of familiar...

He snapped out of his trance and responded, "I wasn't really thinking--"

"Yeah, Feathers, I could tell," the demon spat before releasing Kairi and walking over to the window.

"Don't call me that," Kairi muttered while rubbing his jaw.

"What'd you say?" The creature turned around with a challenging look.

Gaining some courage, Kairi looked him in the eyes and repeated what he said.

"I said, don't call me that."

The taller one smirked. "Yeah? What should I call you then? You got a name?"

Kairi contemplated if he was really about to tell this demon his name. What if another angel find out that he was talking to a demon? He would get in deep trouble. But, if he was stuck down here for a while they might as well get to know each other. So, ultimately, he decided to.

"It's Kairi. What's yours?"

The demon didn't say anything for a moment. Then he sighed and turned back towards the window.

"You're gonna freak out again if I tell you. If you almost hyperventilated just being around a demon then you're gonna pass out if you find out who I am."

"What? You're being ridiculous. And now that you say all this ominous stuff you have to tell me."

The demon moved his head back and forth as if he was weighing scales.

"Fine... but I warned you angel so you can't freak out."

Kairi was getting annoyed at this point. "Come on man just say it. I'm not gonna pass out or anything."

"Ok then," the demon exhaled, "the name's Mattia."

Kairi just about fainted.
