As april rolled around, the third year for Isobe Takara started better than expected. After an eventful summer she made a few realisations, amongst them being that she had found her passion. Said passion was inspiring others.
This said, after classes, during the first week, she started on her little project: a blog. So here is where the story starts.
——————
The squeaking of shoes on the gym floor made her really excited. She could feel a slight smell of sweat, but it didn't bother her at all, it all meant that effort was put in and she loved the feeling.
Watching the Nekoma boys' volleyball team from the door bacame one of her favourite afternoon activities and it was all because of one thing: passion. As the practice came to a stop for a break she swiftly entered the gym with one purpose in mind. She didn't mean to be rude, but she was indeed a bold person, always going straight forward for what she wanted.
"Oh Kenmaaa!" Takara's voice echoed in the room making all the boys turn their heads.
The boy in question sighed as she approached him with a big smile on her face."Isobe-senpai." he said flatly not giving her too much attention. This only made her more determined.
The other boys on the team kept staring without saying a word. It was unusual for people to look for Kenma, much less barge in the middle of a practice.
"I guess you already know why I'm here." she said sweetly making everyone even more confused. "So can I stay? Please!" the girl continued while fixating him with an unwavering gaze.
"Sorry to interrupt, but it's me who you should be asking. I'm the capitan after all!" said a guy with really untamed black hair.
She glanced his way and, as she did, her expression changed to a very intrigued one. Kuroo suddenly felt pressured, like he was being very carefully analysed. Then Takara smiled and bowed in front of the rest of the team.
"Pardon the intrusion! I know who you are Kuroo-san." now she was grinning and her posture was more relaxed. "Though, I don't remember you having such endering features before." Her honesty was a shocker for everyone.
A few boys in the back started laughing thinking it was a joke, while the capitan gave her a sly grin.
"Don't feel flattered tho. You are not my point of interest today. As i was saying, can i stay?"
"Takara-san! Keep in mind that they are idiots." Kenma suddenly spoke, which earned a laugh from his senpai.
"My name is Isobe Takara! I'm a third year and I'm a photographer. Nice to meet you! I've intruded your practice because I wanted to get a few shots of Kenma while he's playing." She said giving a small smile and pulling a camera out of her bag.
"Why Kenma?" A boy with a bleached mohawk almost cried. "Why not me? I'm the ace after all!"
"Oh! Is that so? Of course I would love to take a shot of you too, but today's focus is Kenma only. Sorry!" she answered as she went to where Kenma was seated and rested her arms on his shoulders, putting her chin on his head.
"Remind me, why do I let you do this?" said the boy softly.
"Because I'm a real good senpai and I owe you a favour?" Takara said unsure, which gained another sigh from her kohai.
Since coach Nekomata wasn't present today there was nothing wrong with the girl staying. And she didn't even bother them as they continued on with their practice. She just strolled around the gym with the camera practically glued to her face and her body moving to take shots from different angles. And true to her word, all the pictures were of Kenma.
At the end of the practice she grabbed Kenma before he could get to the locker room.
"Kenma! My followers are absolutely in love with you! I need to feed them!" She said with begging eyes and the boy honestly felt defeated. She was just way too energetic to keep up with.
Taking his silance as an approval, Takara proceeded in scatering a few volleyballs on the ground and putting Kenma in different positions so the light could perfectly hit his eyes.
Looking at the result she beamed and jumped around singing abot how gorgeous her model was. Not to be misunderstood, she wasn't in love with the boy, instead she was in love with the way she managed to get so much emotion in a single shot. It was amazing what the right moment could do and it would be even more breathtaking when she got the chance to edit it.
Putting the balls back from where she took them, Takara thanked the boys for letting her stay and disappeared but not before giving Kenma a smug smile and saying: "18K!"
————————
The next morning Yamamoto burst into Kenma's classroom holding his phone which displayed a picture of him, lying on his stomach with his head gently rested on a volleyball while the sun was making his eyes glow in a warm tone.
"KENMA! HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD LOOKING???" Yamamoto inquired.
Before he could answer, Kuroo burst in the classroom and said "18K! 18 fucking thousand new subscribers, man!" as he showed Kenma his gaming youtube channel. "Just as she said!"
Kenma looked unfazed and just picked up his phone calling Takara.
"So you like my favour? By the way they love your streaming channel too!" Came immediately as the call was answered.
"How do you do it?" Kenma asked simply.
"For one: people love pretty boys so don't be surprised. And second: connections are everything, which brings me to the next thing. Since your channel grew overnight and I am this amazing, I got you invited to a gaming convention here in Tokyo! Isn't that awesome? And you can bring a plus one!"
Now she became way to excited and it kind of scared Kenma. Things tended to happen around Takara and she knew way too many people than it should be normal. He thanked her and closed the phone thinking about how exactly he got himself in this fast paced thing.
On the other end of the line, Takara was busy scribbling deadlines and making an excuse of a schedule on the back of one of her notebooks. Today was going to be a busy day and she had no time to lose.
Once the bell dismissed the last class of the day, Takara quickly packed her things and started running through the halls. Al the school gate she met Kenma and Kuroo.
"Why in such a rush?" Kuroo asked raising an eyebrow.
The girl, barely acknowledging his existence, glanced at him and back at her surroundings looking somewhat annoyed.
"I'm waiting for someone and they are so damn late." She growled in frustration. Kuroo wanted to ask more but the inquiries died, murdered by the sound of a motorcycle.
"Fucking finally! We are so damn late!" she shouted over the engine's sound. The man took of his helmet and smiled at her, which only seemed to annoy her more. "You are lucky you look good." Takara stated plainly and hopped on the motorcycle.
Kuroo was staring at the interaction more confused than ever. Kenma for one couldn't care less, but still made an effort to wave at the girl when she said "see you tomorrow" to the both of them.
When the sound of the motorcycle died down Kuroo looked at Kenma with a questioning expression.
"Don't know and don't care." the blonde said as he resumed his PSP game and continued walking.
Hi! Sorry it's so messy but it's the first time I've written in quite a while. I hope you enjoy my story and feedback would be great. This is an experimental project so I get better at describing scenarios and human interaction.
Thanks for reading! :)
