It has been 10 minutes since Anne left. I don’t know what’s taking her so long but I’m starting to worry.
Elmo: Excuse me! I’ll just check on Anne
Maxene: Moses! Anne’s 18, I think she can find her way back
Elmo: Maxx, I’ll be back
Saab: You act like a boyfriend bro
Elmo: And is that a bad thing?
Frank: It is if you’re not (laughs)
Elmo: (laughs sarcastically) very funny bro
Elmo’s Mom: okay you three, stop teasing your brother. Moses, go ahead and check on her

I gave my mom a smile and walked away. I was halfway to the bathroom when I saw Anne, talking to some guy
Japs: What are you doing here?
Guy: And again, no I miss you?
Japs: Look, I’m finally living a life. Just leave me alone
Guy: You haven’t changed a bit. Still too dramatic.
I hate how this guy treats Anne so I barged in
Elmo: And what’s wrong with that?
Anne turned her head towards me
Japs: Moe…
Elmo: Are you alright?
Japs: Yeah, I’m still good
Guy: And who’s this guy? You’re boyfriend? (laughs hysterically)
Elmo: What’s so funny?
Guy: Sorry bro, I just couldn’t imagine this girl (points to Anne) ever having a boyfriend. Let me guess, siya ang nangligaw sayo?
What kind of person is this guy. I can see Anne’s trying to hide her face. I know she’s about to cry if not already crying. “That’s it” I said to myself “you just crossed the line”
Elmo: Look man, you have to watch your words. I’m not her boyfriend, I’m her suitor. Ako ang nanliligaw.
I know nagulat si Anne sa sinabi ko so I took her hand and squeezed it as sign that I’ll give her an explanation later
Guy: You? Courting her? What’s wrong with your mind bro?
Elmo: My mind? Nothing, Your mind? Everything. If you’ll excuse us, I think I’ll find another restaurant for our date
Guy: (still laughing) well okay, see you around Anne! I know I will
We walked out the restaurant, I’m still holding her hand, people are looking but right now? I don’t care. All I care about at this moment is Anne. And how hurted she is with that fool’s words!
Japs: Why did you say that? Narinig ka nang mga tao, for sure pagkakaguluhan ka na naman
Elmo: Don’t worry about it, I can handle it.
