Everyone starts their Pokémon schooling after they've had 5 years experience with their Pokémon. Most trainers start at Alola high located in the Melemele Island in Alola.
For Ash Ketchum, his 2nd year awaits as he books his flight to the Alola region. His friends Brock - last year for him -, Drew, Misty,May, Dawn, Serena, Morrison, Kenny, Gary, Mellow, Lily and lots of his other friends travel with him. Travel through high school.
Tomorrow, Ash would be celebrating his 16th birthday and the day after he would be leaving for Alola. So the plan was that everyone of his friends currently in Kanto will come to his house for his party and leave the next day to the airport. So Misty, Brock, Gary, Max - he's here for the Kanto league - and Dawn - for contests - will be at his party.
