Chapter Four

As I went through the gates of the high school, I saw many familiar faces, I nodded to myself thinking there's still two days until school starts, I guess everyone gets here early. I waved to Clemont and Serena who were talking next to the lake, I could see many other people, ones I didn't know, the ones starting this year, but never was there a dull moment on the first day. I went in and unpacked inside my dorm room, I am roommates with Gary, Paul and Drew. after that I went over to the call center and called mom on the video phone. After that I went to get LUNCH!!!!! It was fantastically amazingly great, it makes me feel like never leaving, but none beats Brock, or Mom.

I was training with Pikachu and Sceptile by the lake when Dawn and Kenny came over. "Hey" I said. "Ash Ketchum, never seems to stop getting stronger, huh. Keep it up and you'll beat me." Kenny said. "That's Ash for ya. Besides he can beat you anytime." Dawn said. "Hey you're MY girlfriend, not his." to that they both blushed, not me cuz I'm a denso. At least that's what they say. "Yeah well he's my best friend." Dawn stated. "Yeah" I said. "Kenny you don't have to be so jealous, we're just friends, right Ash?" Dawn asked me. "No." I replied. Dawn tilted her head in confusion. " We're best friends. he he." "Never, do that to me again, Ash Ketchum." Dawn yelled. "You know I will, Dede." I teased her. "can't stop him." Kenny said.

"Hey guys, watcha fighting about." Brock came over. "Ohhh nothing." I said. "Hmmm, I know, Kenny, lets battle." I continued. "Whaaaa, no thanks I'll skip." Kenny said with a sweat drop. "Scared much. Then how about you Dawn?" I asked Dawn. "I don't see why not, lets do it." Dawn agreed. I nodded at Brock and he nodded back, he clearly knew what to do.

"Alright, this will be a three on three battle, substitutions are not allowed and no mega evolutions, z-moves or dynamax."

"Fine by me." I said.

"Me too." Dawn said. "Alright Buneary spotlight."

"Lets go, Lucario I choose you."

"Bun"

Lucario nodded.

"You ready Dawn."

"No need to worry."

"Let the battle....BEGIN!

"Lucario use Bulk up."

"Buneary use Ice Beam."

"Now Lucario, dodge it and go in for an aura sphere."

"Buneary use bounce to dodge."

"Not so fast Dawn."

"huh."

The aura sphere turned around and went up to hit Buneary.

"Now, Dark Pulse. but take it low."

Buneary wasn't able to recover from the aura sphere and the dark pulse hit."

"Buneary NO!."

"Buneary is unable to battle, Lucario wins."

"Good Work, Buneary."

"You did great Lucario."

"Return." The both of us said together

"When did you catch Lucario Ash?"

"In Galar, I found it as a Riolu."

"Alright now for my second Pokémon, go Quilava, take the stage."

"Qui.."

"Let's go.. Bayleaf.

"Bay Bay..."

"BEGIN!!"

"Quilava, use Fire Spin."

"Bayleaf, take it and then use Razor leaf."

"Bay."

"Quiiiiiii!!!"

"Bayleaf, you alright?"

"Bayleaf"

"Now go, Razor Leaf and then quick attack."

"Bay.."

"Quilava use Flamethrower."

Bayleaf got thrown back by the flamethrower and landed on me.

"Bayleaf you did enough. Return."

"ASH RETURNED BAYLEAF, QUILAVA WINS."

"Good job Quilava, return."

"Qui!"

"Now, lets go Piplup."

"Charizard I choose you."

The large dragon Pokémon emerged from its pokeball and roared."

Piplup backed up, a little frightened

"Hey Piplup, no need to worry, right."

"Pip.."

Piplup said... regaining his confidence. She wouldn't say but I could understand that Dawn was a little frightened too.."

"Wait... Brock, I put out the wrong Pokémon, can I switch out."

Brock nodded at me, understanding the situation.

"Alright Charizard, return." I nodded at Dawn who smiled at me gratefully.

"Go Glalie."

"Gla-"

"Glalie use freeze-dry."

"ahhh, Piplup."

Piplup, you alright."

"pi.."

"Glalie use ice beam."

"Whirlpool Piplup."

"Glalie finish this with Freeze-dry!!"

"PIPLUP IS UNABLE TO BATTLE, GLALIE WINS!! THEREFORE THE WINNER OF THE BATTLE IS ASH."

"Good job Piplup. Take a long rest,"

"Pip"

"Alright Glalie high five.. Oh right sorry you don't have hands." I said with a sweat drop.

Dawn and I high fived and walked over to Brock and Kenny. "Nice battle Dede." Kenny said. "KENNY! DONT CALL ME DEDE!!!" "Calm down Dawn, its just a little joke. You know, you barely mind when Ash calls you Dede." Kenny said. "Jealous much. And yes I do." Dawn said. "Alright if you guys don't stop fighting I'm out." "Sorry Dawn.... I love you." Kenny said. "I love you too Kenny."
