Ahhhh, Kuchisake-Onna, also known as "The Slit Mouth Woman" where do I begin? She has two origins.
Origin #1
(before she was Kuchisake-Onna) once upon a time (sorry 😂) there lived a beautiful woman in all of Japan. Every men wanted to marry her but she decided to marry the best samurai. One day her husband had to go to war and she was lonely. She kept turning down men but one day she got REALLY lonely she started cheating on her husband. "Hey dude have you heard?" One of the samurai's friends asked "heard what?" The samurai asked "there's a beautiful lady who will marry a guy!" The samurai wanted to see for his self so his friend lead him to the place. "This...this is MY house!" The samurai exclaimed, his friend was shocked. The samurai burst open the door and went inside, there he saw his wife kissing another man. They both looked at him shocked. The guy ran off and the samurai stormed over to his wife, went behind her and grabbed her neck. Then he took out his katakana and sliced her mouth "who will think you're pretty now?" He asked. The wife died days later and returned to earth as Kuchisake-Onna. She wears a surgical mask and in the U.S that means something is wrong but in Japan it's perfectly normal. She will come up to you and ask "Am I Pretty?" If you say "yes" she will remove her mask "AM I PRETTY NOW?!" She'll yell if you say yes she'll cut your mouth with her giant scissors. If you say no she'll kill you, no matter what your answer is you'll still end up dying, but you can confuse her saying "yes, yes, no, no, no, yes, yes, no", "you're average" or "so-so" it'll keep her confused for a long time so you can run away.Origin #2
(Same as the top origin but a bit different)
(Before she was Kichisake-Onna) there was a beautiful woman in all of Japan. She would walk around asking people if she was pretty. Everyone would say "yes! You are very beautiful!" With so much confidence she started cheating on her husband with different men. Her husband found out and sliced her mouth. Later she killed herself and came back to earth as "Kuchisake-Onna"
