10 years later
"Hey! I think I found something." A manic voice sounded, stumbling upon the severely charred bodies. "Doesn't look like the virus affected them at all."
"M-maybe we should still lodge a bullet in their brains, just incase they're late risers." A female chuckled, shuffling through the male bedroom that smelled like burnt flesh. She stuck her hand in the male's pocket, finding crumpled dollar bills, coins, lip balm and a size large Trojan condom. "Ugh. Give me a break. Not more of those." She threw it at his face and smiled.
Suddenly there was a loud crashing of glass from the first level and only the lone female warrior remained. She positioned herself in the doorway, pistol aimed at anything that would come this way.
The slightly-charred female roused from her deep slumber and slid into the shadow of the room. Her stomach growled voraciously, alerting the armed figure that something had awoken. Her clothes hung off her in tattered pieces and she shivered from the slight chill in the room. "What happened?" Her teeth chattered and her blue eyes widened. "W-why I-is he dead?"
The tense and alert warrior cocked her hip, pulling out a pair of pants and a shirt for the girl. "There was an explosion. Half the world has been dead for years. Why aren't you like them?"
"Like who?" She yanked the army green tank top over her head.
"Like the rabids. They're the definition of vampires: soulless demons who feed on humans. They have no mercy for anyone."
"I guess I'm different. Now can you turn around?" She held up the pants as a signal for her avert her eyes as she was quite afraid to see what she'd find. "Thank you." And she muttered without a single thought. "I'd rather you not be scarred by your own death, but instead, go out with a smile." She snapped the girl's neck and drained her dry, snatching up all her weapons and bombs, plus the shoes. "You had a peaceful death in my dream. But you can finally rest." She wiped her mouth on the bathroom towel, knowing she'd have to kill the other two college boys if she wanted to get out alive.
With her new weapons safely tucked away, she leapt down the elevator shaft and swung onto ground level, coming face-to-face with a grinning rabid. He looked immensely pleased with himself, but she paid him zero attention as she glided past them all, her knife gutting most of them.
The other males cussed and swore their way through the mob. Their weapons lodged themselves in each rabid's brain cavity as they were put to rest. "Who the hell are you?" One of them pointed a dagger at her.
"Oh, boys," she called to the rabids. "I think you oughta help a girl out."
"You little bitch." He swung the dagger at her, but she caught it mid-air. She licked the dried blood, her defense system kicking in. She kicked him to the ground and strangled him till no air release itself from his lungs, and he took one final breath. Her stomach was full, but she needed to fuel up if the other vampires were going to attack her.
"Don't call me bitch, bitch." She bit into the warm flesh of the human boy as her rabid counterparts tore apart the other fighter, ravishing him piece-by-piece. "You both deserved a dangerous death." She waved to the rabids as she yanked her hood on and stepped outside.
