The final bell for school went and I made my way to my locker, grabbed my go bag and went to the girls bathroom. I sat in the girls bathroom and locked the door. I rolled up my sleeves and pulled out my blade from my makeup bag and dragged it across my skin. It didn't hurt that much but the blood trickled out.
There was a soft tapping on the door. My head snapped up. I cautiously walked up to the door and pulled down my sleeves before unlocking it and cracking it open slightly. The last person I wanted to see was stood before me, I opened the door a little wider. "What do you want clifford?" I whispered, not looking him in the eye. "I thought I saw you come in here, what are you doing? School is over. Aren't you going to go home?" He actually sounded concerned about why I was here. "Why do you care? I can't go home, okay!? Luke won't let me stay with him because of his girlfriend and this is the only place I can stay and be safe!" I tried to shout but my voice cracked as the tears streamed down my face. "Can I come in?" He said very calmly. I walked back into the girls bathroom and he followed me, closing and locking the door behind us.
Michaels P.O.V
Callie let me in and we both slumped against the far wall. I could see a few droplets of blood on the floor near her bags. She pulled out her laptop and put a film on. We sat in silence and watched it, she was engrossed in the film. It started getting cold so she wrapped herself up in her sleeping bag like a burrito. "Umm do you want some cover?" She whispered not taking her eyes off the laptop screen. "Please." I whispered back, she opened up her burrito wrapped self and shuffled so I could have some sleeping bag warmth. It felt weird to be here with her. "Callie?" "Michael?" "Can you show me your wrists please?" She paused the film and slowly rolled up her sleeves wincing slightly as she pulled up the tight fitted sleeves. She was a mess. Tears brimmed in her eyes as she looked at them. The tears fell onto her blood stained arms, I pulled her into a hug as she started to whimper.
It was dark now and she was still in my arms, she'd stopped crying and had wrapped her arms around my neck and her head burrowed into my shoulder. "Callie?" I scarcely whispered, "Callie?" I repeated. She'd fallen asleep on me. She's actually pretty cute when she's sleeping, she kept making cute little sleepy noises.
I text my mum and told her where I was and she came to pick me up, when I got the text to say she was here I picked Callie up trying not to disturb her. I unlocked the door and let mum in, I told her to grab the bags as I slowly and carefully walked Callie to the car. Mum got in and drove us back home, when we got there I carried Callie inside and upstairs to my bedroom. I laid her on the bed and pulled the duvet over her. I sat on the side of the bed and watched her for a while, it was late so I set up camp,on the floor next to her and fell asleep.
