"Uh" ava west grumbled as she reluctantly dragged herself out of bed.

"Just a few more minutes" she pleaded with herself as she fell back onto it and curled herself up with her blanket. She was turning onto every side, checking for a comfortable spot when finally she found one.

"Huh" she moaned as she let out a sigh of relief and she probably would have been relieved if her alarm clock hadn't rung two seconds later.

"Seriously", what do i have to do to get some sleep around here" She leaned her head towards it and tried to turn the damn thing off. She could barely open her eyes but her vision wasn't to faint to see her phone on the table beeping like her life depended on it. She managed to sit up straight and wiping off what seemed to be dust in her eye, she reached for the table. She was about to pick up the phone when she decided she couldn't stand the sound of the clock anymore. She turned it off and took a glance at the time. "Shit 10 : 35" She had overslept but was still well relaxed in bed when she stretched over to the far end of the table and grabbed her phone.

"Oh come on!" Ava exclaimed and unlocked it. "Parker's so gonna kill me"  she buried herself under her pillow after going through her phone records. Apparently he had called 6 times, sent 16 texts and left 11 voice messages. It stunned her that she'd been able to sleep through it. There was no point getting out of bed now, if she knew Parker which she well did he was already on his way here preparing his prosecution speech as he so often did when she didn't reply his messages. There was no arguing with him, he decided even before she gave her explanation that he was right and she was to look at him and feel sorry and guilty for not taking his calls. He was quick to forgive though, that is after being acknowledged to be right and he had gotten used to her waking up late on weekends so he wouldn't put up much of a fight but on a weekday she had no excuse.

"could this day day get any worse" she muttered as she looked across the street through the window. Everywhere seemed calm, quiet almost peaceful like a typical Saturday morning. There was little movement, only passerby's wishing to enjoy the lovely scene not the usual running and racing about on the streets associated with your average Monday which was why she loved the weekends so much. Little stress, little to worry about, except when you didn't answer your boyfriend's calls because you overslept but other than that you were in good hands.

"Actually it can"

"Jesus" she screamed with her brows raised as she turned to see who it was behind her that had entered into her house. Her thoughts came back together when she turned around and found out it was Lia. Stern yet soft sided, playful, occasionally terrifying lia, whom of which was one of her best friends in the world. Didn't she know how make an entrance. There was a moment of relief to recollect her thoughts and then she gave her the serious look.

"Am I the only one in this city who knocks". She said annoyed. " for God sakes lia you scared the crap out of me"

"Whatever" she replied as she shut the door behind her." Just get your scrawny ass out of bed okay" classic lia.

"Nice to see you too" she said not getting her scrawny ass out of bed. "How did you get in here anyway "

"I have a key"

"What? Since when"

"Since I became friends with someone who wakes up on a Saturday morning after 10am"

"Fine, you win" she said smirking trying to suppress laughter.

"Okay, now hurry up we'll be late. She said anxiously and went to the bathroom to recheck her makeup.

Ava had been so busy trying to piss her off she hadn't paid much attention to her outfit. She was all lawyered up in a black Italian suit with her long brown hair held up in a sleek Bun. She looked like someone from the 80s or one of those lawyers from before phones were invented. Seeing this made it close to impossible not to at least giggle but taking cautious note of the impatient look on lia's face ava concluded now wasn't the time to make fun of her outfit.
