Matthew was a young boy had servants and played with some of the maids sons. They were all friends not all of them were treated bad. He and the other kids were about 5 or 7 years old. There were rumors going around about chickens and goats dead on farmers fields. The kids listened carefully as the adults talked the said it was the goat sucker. The kids know him by another name Chupacabra. They know him from there bed time stories. The adults said it was a myth. The day was great and so many kids running and laughing except the Quartzes kids. But as night turned to day it got quieter. Matthew and Rosetta were getting ready for bed. Matthew was alone in his the room waiting for his Rosetta to tell him a story. Matthew was hoping to be told more stories about the Chupacabra. So after a while if waiting Matthew went to check on his mom. The door was ajar. The hallway was dark and Matthew pushed the door open slowly. All Matthew saw was a large dog he yelled Chupacabra. The dad had just got home and heard Matthew yell so he ran to check one him. But before his dad got upstairs the Chupacabra changed into a human and Rosetta was stabbed in the back with a knife. Matthew saw his dad Mark and looked at the man and drew his gun but the man was already gone. But Matthew had not yet understood death he though she was asleep. After the funeral Mark explained to Matthew what was going on and why she wouldn't wake up. As a year past Matthew had heard of his uncle and two other family members had died. They all died in the same way a knife inside them but no trace of fingerprints just some dog trace on the knife. Mark and Matthews other uncle Larry were stumped by the case but would stop at nothing now that there some of there family has been murdered.
