When I arrived at Joe's house , I could already hear them laugh and talk before entering the house.
Joe opened the door and I went inside , everyone was doing something different like talking , dancing , drinking , eating etc.
I went straight to his living room and I sat on the couch , I wasn't feeling really good and I wasn't in the mood to party .
I noticed a girl probably in her early 20s and she was giving my teammates drinks and food , she probably works at Joe's place .
"Joe? Who's she ?" I asked
"New employee, why are you asking?" Replied Joe
"Oh nothing, I've never seen her before here"
"She started working a few days ago"
The girl was pretty and seemed nice but when I turned around but she already disappeared, I started looking for here.
I went to the kitchen and I heard someone talking on the phone .
"Esteban , I already told you that I'm staying later tonight I have a lot of work to do" She said
Too bad , she already has a boyfriend. But what if it was her brother or someone else?
After the phone call the girl sat on the chair and I noticed that she was crying , I didn't know what to do but I really felt bad so I went to talk to her.
"Are you okay" I asked
She quickly stood up and whipped her tears.
"Sorry ... do you need anything?" She asked
" No , I was just bored so I decided to explore Joe's house because i don't really like parties"
She smiled and her dimples caught my attention.
" Me neither" She replied
" I'm Trent , you may already know me but whatever" I introduced myself
"Nice to meet you i'm Zara" She said
We started talking and I noticed that she was really kind and she made me laugh a lot.
She reminded me about the first time when I met Rachel , she also told me a joke that I remember.
"I know that's it's probably no one of my business but can you tell me who's Esteban?" I asked
Her smile disappeared and she kept looking at the floor without saying anything and I quickly regretted it.
"If you don't want to tell me it's fine" I said
"Esteban is my ex boyfriend , but...."
Joe entered the kitchen and interrupted her.
"Ah , Trent i've been looking for you for ages" He said
" Sorry bro , I got bored" I replied
"Looks like you made a new friend" He said with a smirk
"Yeah exactly" I replied
"Mr Joe Gomez I finished all my work can I go back home?" Asked him Zara
Joe nodded and he grabbed me by my arm to the corner.
"Don't give her too much attention , she only works here" He told me
"Why? I was only being nice to her" I replied
"Yeah but just don't make her dream a lot"
I noticed Virgil standing behind Joe with a confused look.
"Why are you guys here?" he asked
" Just talking , we'll join you soon" Replied Joe
"Yeah , Joe will join you . I have to back home" I said
I left his house and I got in my car , I started driving and noticed Zara walking in the street so I stopped the car next to her.
" Want me to take you home?" I asked
"No , thanks" She replied and continued walking
" There's many drunk men walking in the street at this hour you know" I said
She stopped walking and she turned around , we both started laughing and I opened the door for her to get in.
I asked her where she wanted me to drop her and she said that she wanted to take her things from Esteban's apartment. "Aren't you going to spend the night there?" I asked
" No , I don't want to live with him anymore . I'm trying to forget about the past" She explained
"You're trying to forget about the past then? Well let's do it together" I said
She looked at me in a confused way , she clearly didn't understand the joke.
" I'm Trent and you?" I asked
"And I'm Zara" She replied with a smile
She shook my hand .
"So where do you want me to take you"
We both started laughing and I started to drive .
"If you're not living with him anymore do you have somewhere else where you can spend the night" I asked . She hesitated for a moment before replying to me "No.. but i'll probably find a place for tonight"
When we were getting closer to her address she told me to stop the car .
"But we didn't arrive at his house yet" I said
" I can walk" She said
I refused to stop the car and I continued driving , but when we arrived at her house I saw a man standing outside.
"Oh no" She said
"Who's that ?" I asked
"Esteban...."
She got out of my car and I saw Esteban grabbing her by her arm and taking her inside , and I heard him shouting.
" I knew it that you weren't just working at this footballer's house , you where cheating on me ! You left me for him?" He said
"No , I was just doing my job!" Replied Zara trying to get away from him
"Doing you job as a prostitute ?" He asked
I couldn't believe what I was hearing , how could he treat a girl like that?
I got out of my car and I caught Esteban's attention by slamming the car's door.
" So this is the man you've been cheating on me with?" He said
" She was really working and I decided to drive her home instead of letting her walk alone in the street at night" I replied
" Don't think that you can buy my girlfriend with your money" He told me while throwing all Zara's stuff on the floor.
" You still call her 'your girlfriend' , she deserves better"
Esteban tried to punch me and I dodged it , I'm the one that punched him in the face and I pushed him then he fell on the garbage.
I told Zara to get in my car and I did the same , and I started driving before Esteban could catch us.
