x x xBrendon's heavy breathing was able to be heard as he ran. His footsteps echoed throughout the dark alley way, and the gentle rain was beating against the ground.
When he reaches a corner, he takes a sharp left, and he turn and looks behind him to see if he was alone.
His heart was beating rapidly out of his chest, and his feet hurt from having ran so much.
He takes a second to lean against one of the buildings to catch his breath. This doesn't last long, as he hears a sound and he immediately takes off running again.
He had no idea where Dallon had gone, he had lost him somewhere along the way. They had both scattered at the sound of the sirens.
He had told Brendon to go home, but Brendon didn't listen. He still felt like he was being followed, and if he went home, he'd be cornered.
When he reaches a street, he slows his pace down a bit. The city looking almost like a ghost town in the middle of the night.
He was very thankful for this though, as well as the dim lights along the street, and he was thankful for the rain as well.
His arms and hands had blood all over them, but it was slowly washing off with the rain. His white button down also had some red stains on it, but he had just pulled the jacket Dallon have him closer so it'd hide it.
His gun was pressed firmly against his leg in its hidden holster, and his knife was in his front pocket. He had managed to grab both before he ran.
He's careful about crossing the street, and he keeps a watchful eye. He had to make sure no one was around. He did look pretty suspicious walking around in the rain at almost 2 am.
When he's made it across the street, he makes a run for another alley way. This one he was familiar with.
He decides to finally sit down and take a break, his feet were killing him, and his chest almost burned from running close to several miles.
He didn't even care if the ground was soaked, he just wanted to sit, and that's exactly what he did.
The jacket he had now hung loosely over his shoulders, and it was part way in his lap.
He ends up laying his head back against the building and closing his eyes, trying to regain his normal breathing. He lets himself relax, and he slowly stops panting.
Suddenly, he feels a hand on his knee, and he can tell someone is directly in front of him. He's about to open his eyes and kick whoever it was, until a low, and charming voice stops him.
"Hello, darling." He could immediately tell it was Dallon.
His eyes snap open, and he looks at the man in front of him. He smiles and he leans up, wrapping his arms around the taller's neck, and he pulls him down for a hug.
"Dall," he breathes out, smiling still as they pull away from the hug. His hand goes to Dallon's jaw, and he notices that he has a busted lip, as well as a bruise on his jaw. He had noticeably flinched a little when Brendon had touched it.
"What happened?" He asks carefully, and he makes Dallon sit down beside him.
Dallon just shakes his head.
