A daughter’s tears stream down a pale face,
Her deepest hopes flowing down the river,
As the care disappears without a trace,
And in the darkness, her shoulders shiver.
A father’s love should be never-ending;
She then must ask why it seems to have died
Without any remains still there lending
Answers, no matter how hard she cried.
But she must wipe the tears that plagued her soul
And move beyond the darkness into the light,
For the price she pays must not exceed the toll,
And she convinces herself that her plight
Is just another adventure
That anyone else could endure.
