Harpers Pov:

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

The fast beeping sound of the machine going off like a police siren in the surgical room. Nurses in purple scrubs rushing across the room adds tension in the air.

3 People wearing purple scrubs, the second most important people in the room and the most important, laying on the operating table fighting for her life

"I need you all focused! I need to get this baby out now!"

I am now in surgery, trying to prevent a woman from losing her unborn baby, and by the looks of it...... its not looking good.

"Doctor we're losing her! She's flat lining!" One of the nurses shouted.

Be calm

"get more 'RBC!' (Red Blood Cells) and prepare the defibrillator!" My assistant In this emergency surgery shouted at one of the nurses.

I first tried to get to the woman's heart to start pumping again. i pushed down on her chest pushing, trying to jump start her heart to pump blood and oxygen.

"We're losing her! She's still losing to much blood! We cant stop the internal bleeding or we'll kill the baby." the same nurse shouted looking anxious and I'm guessing feeling hopeless.

In times like this being a doctor not only means saving lives but to be a leader in times of crisis and apparently nervous breakdowns. Everyone was panicking and i cant seem to  find a reason not too. So I shouted.

"OK EVERYONE STOP!" and everyone did what I said. I took in a couple of deep breaths, in which everyone mirrored me and collected themselves in those quick few dangerous seconds. "start the defibrillator." I instructed. if any sane doctor saw what I just did they would surely call it unethical, but in my point of view, I had no choice. my team was in a mess and no one, not even the smartest people on the planet can think straight and make good, ethical reasons with a bunch of bumbling idiots rushing around the room.

Don't call me mean for using the term idiots. Sometimes.. we just are.

Everyone started to calm down and await my next instructions. This is the first thing about me. Whenever panic gets to me, I take a few deep breaths and start to analyze the situation. this is just how I work. My team knows the consequences of having me as their lead doctor but I always make sure that one things for certain, I never lose my patients.

"200 Joules. Clear!" I shouted

Nothing.

"Again! Clear!"

Nothing. Come on now....

"300 Joules." The sound of the pads charging up was the only sound in the room.. Well with our labored breathing as well. "Charging, Clear!"

*beep...beep...beep*

sighs of relief resonated from around the room.

"How about the baby?" I ask.

"The pulse is weak I suggest we do a C- Section and put the baby in an incubator since the baby's taking up all the nutrition, the mom wont have much to recover and we will be supplying heavy medication for her. The baby cant handle it." My assistant logically explains and looked towards me for the sign of an "ok".

"Your going to be an amazing doctor Evan but make sure the mother get extra vitamins and meds to speed up the healing process. now the baby will be fine we need to find and stop the internal bleeding."

'You've embarrassed him.' I sighed and knew that after this surgery I would have to talk to him. All doctors and doctors to be are very.... Touchy, lets just say. They don't like their opinions and actions questioned. They think people who ask questions, question their abilities.

After we're all done my scrubs are covered in blood..... Well not the worst I've seen.

"Good job Gang." I high fived them, all breaking out into grins and chuckles.

"Hey harper!" I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see one of my best friends, Amilee.

"Hey where have you been?" I asked curious as she normally assisted me in my surgeries.

"There was a cancer patient not to keen on his chemotherapy, had to convince him that cancer might kill him if he doesn't go at all." she sighed. Amilee is 21 and absolutely stunning, she has senior, junior and even patients asking her out. but due to her very busy work schedule in the hospital she can barely make time for herself.

Thats why I made it my job to get her to spa's and saloon's for a "Amilee" day as i called it.

"You do know we have to stay for night shift right?" Amilee smirked.

"*sigh* Yup. I'll order in for the team, How does Italian sound for tonight?" I smiled looking at my computer, flicking her nose.

Swatting my hand away we all continued to work and make rounds

Time skip - 10pm

Amilee and I were working on some papers that needed signing from our chairs person of the hospital and well.. Thats not my favorite job to do.

The chairman has.. Well a bit of a reputation for being a Casanova and he isn't shy about it either.
