Episode One
To Steal A TARDIS- This Is What You Do
|| Before I begin. I would like to say that I dedicate this entire first season to MillerJordan who has been a mentor to me for many many years. Doctor Who isn't a fandom I would love as much as I do if it weren't for her. She's been by me through harsh trials. And honestly is one of the only friends I have that I trust and value. So. All my love, Jordan. You still owe me a coffee rendezvous. ||She ran through the open fields of red. A setting sun shining down over the hills as she could see the city off in the distance beginning to light. She was late. And knew that if she didn't reach her front door on time, she would have to explain to her nanny why she was climbing through the window.
And such she didn't want to explain.
So she ran. Shoes in her hand and bare feet finally hitting the red bricks that lead to the city roads. It hurt, definitely. The rocks still warm from the beaming sun. But she couldn't pay attention to that.
Her hand outstretched before her, gripped a lamp post, using the leverage she got to fling herself around a corner and start barreling down a sidewalk.
That's when it caught her eye. The silver doors of her home slowly starting to close in front of her. And in one last sprint, she went flying through.
It took her a moment to catch her breath, a smile growing over her face when she turned to the servants that pushed the doors shut. Soon followed by a shout of victory.
"Lady Illuminator-!"
Oh shit.
Her cheers were cut short when a woman came around the corner and into the foyer. She wore a yellow dress with puffy sleeves, and white buttons down the front. A faded orange apron atop it. The strings for the apron having to be wrapped around her and tied at the front, as the woman was rather skinny.
Skinny and pale - with her face all worn... Was how the Illuminator would describe her. Her white hair always pulled back tight made her look hardly Gallifreyan. But then again. She was just the nanny.
"Yes, Nanny?" She sang, quickly slipping her feet into the shoes she was carrying to hide how red the bottoms were.
"Your father is going to have a fit! Look at you. Hair all disheveled, feet absolutely filthy. And is that a cut on your elbow-?"
She lifted her arm, glancing at her elbow, where indeed she had skinned it. She wasn't bleeding. But by the redness, she could tell that it would be scabbing over.
"Yes, well, I fell-"
"I don't want to hear it. You already missed supper. Now go get cleaned up and get your leftovers..."
There was a delay in The Illuminator's response. But soon, she nodded. Thankful that at least there were leftovers.
But as she headed to her room, she could hear her Nanny whisper ever so gently behind her. "Hopeless..."
That made her smirk.
