"Why is she even here? She doesn't fit in." Xavier whined like the little kid he was. I just inwardly laughed at his immaturity. He doesn't even seem to care about the fact that I was sitting right here at the dining table with them.
"Xavier." Elijah warned.
"Like I want to be here?" I laughed like he had said something really funny which he had of course.
The whole room was suddenly filled with deadly silence.
"You seriously don't think that do you boy? Sorry but for your kind information, I would love to be anywhere but here right now.
Hell, I would live in that shabby orphanage with that psychotic caretaker than with you guys under the same roof.
Had it not been your elder brother, who just suddenly occurred out of nowhere and became my legal guardian, I would have been living my perfectly normal and peaceful life."
By the time I finished my rant, everyone was looking at me with a mixture of emotions.
"What did I tell you about the rules Lila?" It was Victor who ended the silence.
I scoffed. After everything, he still cared about some fucking rules.
"You didn't think that I would follow them, did you?"
"Lila-"
"The worst you can do is to kill me and I guess I'm prepared for it." I said standing up and exiting the room. I was done for the day.
"She's not our Lila." Before leaving I heard Damien whisper.
"Yes because your Lila died ten years ago. I'm Amelia. Amelia William."
