Long ago there was an ancient civilization, this civilization was known as Dagaz (Which means new beginnings or transformations). This place was at the very top of Mount Tamalpais. Humans, orcs, elves, giants, dwarves and even demons go there to bathe in the river Lethe, where they wipe their memories so they can have a new life. What does this place have to do with our sorcerer? It is everything. This is the place in which he started his journey to becoming a savior and the destroyer of humanity. His parents' name was Ashley Jackson. Her husbands' name was Chris. About 8 months had passed since the joining on Chris and Ashley when the young boy Dameson was born. About two years after Dameson was born Chris disappeared without explanation. Another 9 years passed and the small, but prosperous, village remained peaceful. That is of course until the most powerful army in all of the 7 kingdoms came and attacked. They attacked and left little to nothing alive. As the army fought, and killed all the beings that resided in that town. Then Ashley (The mother of Dameson) did the unexpected. She ran back into the inn and told Dameson to get the horses ready to leave. Then she went up to the one bookshelf that he was forbidden to touch, under no circumstances. She pulled on a small leather book and the wall opened. Behind was a small room with a whole load of weapons inside. She went in and grabbed out two katanas and then pushed the book back in place and the wall closed back up. Then she ran out and fought back. For everyone she cut down, two more took their place. Then a large man charged Ashley from behind and . . .
Dameson ran from the inn's main room into the barn to get the horses. He took one at a time and hooked them to the wagon. The wagon was made of ivory and some type of really dark wood. He had no idea how his mother had been able to get it. It cost so much that they could have lived somewhere better. Anyway, he hooked up the wagon and then went out to find his mother, Ashley. When he got inside he saw some guy looking around at her mom's bookshelf. He felt around at the books until he found the small leather book. He pulled it and the wall opened. He pulled out a large sword. It had strange markings on it. One of the markings looked like Ελληνικά. Then the man grabbed out a sheath and put the sword into it. He ran out of the building and off to who knows where. Dameson ran out of the inn and saw some strangely dressed, huge man. He hit his mom on the head and slung her over his shoulder. Then he knocked a soldier off his horse and took his place and rode off. Dameson fell to his knees and cried. He sat there as the battle raged around him. Then, without warning, everything went black. He woke to the sound of a wagon's wheels and horses galloping. He looked up to see he was on the back of a horse. Slung over like a sack. The second time he woke he heard voices.
"Stop here for the night," said a loud demanding voice.
"Yes sir, " said a small voice.
"And get a fire started."
"Yes sir," said the small voice. He heard someone's footsteps as they left to go do as they were told. Dameson got off his back and looked around the wagon. There were tons of supplies, but no other people. Just him. At least, he thought. He slowly made it to his feet and looked around the wagon. They switched him from the horse to the wagon. He saw a small curtain in which blocked off another small section. He went up and pulled the curtain away to see a young girl. She looked at him in fear. He was confused about why she looked so afraid. He was about to say something when he heard loud footsteps approaching. He quickly and quietly put the curtain back in place and then laid on his back where he laid once before. He kept his eyes slightly open so he could see who was coming. A very large man came in and went to the curtain and took it down. He grabbed the girl and took her out of the wagon. A few minutes later the same man came in and grabbed him by the back of his shirt, and shook him.
"Wakey, Wakey little boy." He dragged Dameson out of the wagon and over to a tree in which the girl was also tied. The man shoved him down and tied him to the tree. As the man walked away, Dameson started to try sliding his hands from the ropes. But all it brought was pain. Rubbing against the ropes made burns on his wrists. He sat there looking around. All around him soldiers were getting the camp in order. He was so focused on the work going on around him that he didn't notice the guy next to him until he said
