We were sitting there watching the movie when laken sat up , I did with him.
"Lake what's wrong?"
"I need to tell you something adds" he blurted out
"Ok" I said really nervous
"Addie the night when you went to the hospital I was deviated. I could think straight. all I could think about was what was I going to do if I lose you. how would I live without you in my life.your parents tried to get me to go home but I couldnt. not when the love of my life was barley breathing. I cried for what seems like forever. but I never lost sight of hope. I knew one day you could come back to me. so I never left awaiting that day.so I guess what I am trying to say is..."
He pulled a box out of his pocket. was this happening? Am I ready to get married?
"Before you freak out this is not a wedding ring." he laughed . a flood of relief came over me. he opened it up and a beautiful silver band with 2 stones in the middle which I could tell were a ruby and a diamond. our birthstones.
"This is a promise ring Addie. will you promise to never leave me because if you do well let's just say I would die. and if you do accept my promise is right here."
There was something engraved in it "eternity" was written in cursive.
"Laken yes, yes I promise" I barley got out with tears pouring out of my eyes. he slipped the ring on my finger. I hugged him tighter than ever.
"I love you" I whispered into my ear.
"I love you too, so much" he said
We broke apart and he kissed me so passionately. it sent sparks down my spine and fireworks in the air. we laid back a watched the rest of the movie. it was the best night ever. we have a promise now, a promise that I hope will never break
