Max isn't wrong. She's spot on right. I did this to Will. I didn't mean to. It was an experiment. It all floods back to me in seconds.

I was away for nearly a year, but I was only awake for 2 days. Or maybe I wasn't. Maybe I was awake for longer but I could only remember those 2 days.

Flashback...

I remember me and Papa. Walking down the familiar corridor. And into a dark room with hundreds of lab people. And a massive slit thing in the middle of the wall.

I remember where I was. We had saved Will from there a year ago. The upside down as we called it. Or the vail of Shadows in proper D&D style.

Papa wanted me to go in there. And find that thing. And kill it. I walked inside knowing that nothing bad could really happen to me. And I just hoped it was all a bad dream.

And then it was black. I mean. I could see it. I don't know what it was called. It was like a massive shadow. Looming over Hawkins. It was right there infront of me and I knew I wasn't dreaming.

Because I had my eyes open. The street was dark. Cold. Empty. The shadow loomed over me, and I ran. I ran as fast as I could.

But it found me. And I had to fight it. And that really pissed it off. Because it knew there was something that could defeat it. I ran and I ran all the way and back out the other side of the slit.

Papa caught me and that's all I remember of that day.

Back to present...
Max had started screaming at me. And El. Everyone. They wanted answers I know but it hurt my feelings. How quickly they could be to pounce on me.

"SHUT UP" I yell. They stop. "Shut up and I'll tell you" They don't speak. They don't move. "Look ok. It's not my fault"

"HOW IS IT NOT YOUR FAULT Y/N!" Dustin screams. Mike punches him in the gut. I smile. "Thanks Mike" "Don't know why your thanking me. I want him to shut up so you can bloody explain yourself"

My smile fades. "oh" I say quietly. "Yeah oh" He repeats. "Just tell us what you know and we night forgive you" Max says. "Fine"

I explain everything. The lab. Papa. The weird shadow. And the upside down. They all look at me weirdly. Then Lucas bursts out laughing. And so do the others. But El and Mike keep quietly still.

"What?" I say, with tears in my eyes. "That's the best bullshit I've heard in my life" "It's not! It's the truth!" "It's the truth" Lucas mocks me.

"Just like how I can shape shift and shoot fire out of my hands" Mocking me still. "You think this is a joke do you Lucas?" I growl.

Now he looks at me. "You all the think this is a joke. I have a connection with that shadow. And I can make him hunt each and every single one of you down"

They stop laughing. "Still don't believe me?" I say. They just stare at me. "watch this"

I feel the power and the burning in my hands. Except nothing happens. Lucas, Dustin and Max all burst out in laughter once more.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY GUYS!" I yell. El and Mike don't seem to do anything but look in horror out the window.

"CUT IT" Mike shouts. He slams open the front door and points outside. I turn around and I can see why they were scared.

The sky had turned a orangey red colour, and lightning had appeared from nowhere. Max stops. Then Dustin. And finally Lucas. I walk over to the door, and out onto the front lawn.

One streak of lightning shows a huge black shadow looming over Lucas's house. "See. What did I tell you? Shadow"

Lucas stares at me. And then back at the sky. "You-" "Yeah. I did that" His jaw drops. The shadow moves down closer to me. "See! Shadow!"

But none of the others can see it. They all said it. "Where?" They couldn't see it. Which means I'm in deep shit.

The only reason why you can see it and no one else is an episode. Or, like I said. Having a connection. It can call you anytime. I slowly back up from the shadow. Oh that's what it's called.
