Imagine You're holding a bomb that's just waiting to explode, and even though Spencer's girlfriend is at the scene too, he's only worried about you.
A/n: Reid's girlfriend's name is Michelle so if that's your name, just read it as another, I apologize!

There was a bomb case, only a couple blocks away. Two guys were playing with a bazooka. One guy accidentally fired it into the other one. But that's not the problem.

The problem is: it didn't blow up.

Once the EMT's arrived, one woman tried to stop the bleeding, resulting in her sticking her hand in the guy, in directly on the part that is keeping the bomb from going boom. And that went good, for a while. You, Hotch, Rossi, and Reid's girlfriend, Michelle, arrived at the scene while everyone else stayed behind, waiting for the bomb squad to do their thing.  However, the girl that grabbed the bomb got scared.

"You can't let go!" One of the bomb guys said, sweat dripping down his forehead. "If you let go, the bomb goes off, and kills everyone. You understand that, right?" The woman frantically looks from you, to Hotch, to the bomb guy. "I-I can't! I'm sorry! I-I can't!" The girl goes to take her hand from the bomb, and for you, everything happens in slow motion. The girl's hand slowly retracts from the guy's body, and though everyone's instinct is to get on the floor, yours is to replace your hand with hers. And that was what happened.

Time starts passing regularly again, and you realize that your hand is in a bomb. Your hand. "Y/n," Hotch says, and you look from the bomb in a guy, to your boss. "You're gonna be fine." You look at him with wide eyes. "Fine!? My hand is on a bomb! That's about to explode, might I add!"

"You shouldn't have done it then," Michelle says, making you glance at her. "I'll let go right now," you jokingly threaten. Kinda.

"No!" The bomb guy yells. "Relax, I'm kidding. Just please figure out what to do. My hand is getting tired." You were trying to act like you weren't scared. Maybe you weren't as scared as you thought you should be. But your mind was racing with a hundred thoughts. And 99 of those were Spencer. If you die, you'll never get to tell him how you feel. And that scares you the most.

"I can't do this," you speak up, catching the attention of the bomb squad captain, Hotch, and Rossi. "This is crazy. Aaron, Rossi, you need to go. You go." You look over at the captain. "You need to go too."

The bomb guy approaches you slowly, and looks at your terrified expression. You look down at your hand in the bomb, not wanting to let go. "Y/n, I want you to look at me. Look at me," the captain says, making you glance up at him. "I know I've been this asshole who's been yelling at you all day. So you pretend that I'm not; you pretend that I'm someone you like, whatever you need. But you need to listen to me." Your mind drifts to Spencer, instead of the captain.

"You can do this," Spencer says, as a tear falls down your face. Slowly, everything around you fades away. "Y/n, I believe in you." You want to take a step further and just hug him. But you know it's not real. You know if Spencer were here, he would want you to not give up. Because if you do, everyone will die.

"I'm scared," you say, looking at Spencer. "I know. I know you are. But you're Y/n L/n. You're fearless. You can do this."

Your mind instantly fades back to reality, and you make eye contact with the captain.

Then, you hear Michelle start talking from your left. "This was incredibly stupid, Y/n." As she says that, the captain approaches you and starts putting a vest over you.

You look at Michelle, and something inside you snaps. "Okay, you know when you don't need to be made fun of? Like when you have your hand inside a body that's got a bomb in it, and a stranger is velcroing a flak jacket to you boobs?" She looks at you, and takes a step back. The bomb guy chuckles. "You've got a sense of irony."
