Little streaks of light escaping through the blinds, litter the floor, making it hazy compared to the darkness around. The contrast between the dark room and little streaks seem to relax me in some way.
A strong arm is wrapped around my lower waist, as it seems to be protecting me. My eyes are half open dreading to close and fall into a deep sleep.I look over to my side and see Harry, his chest and arms full of intricately detailed tattoos. I can't help myself but trace along the moth on his stomach, it's quite an odd one but I like it for some reason. He awakens with a giggle, earning a smile from me.
"Morning love how'd you sleep?" he says in his morning voice which makes me melt inside.
" Very good." I say through my childish grin.
His hair is unruly and long, but it looks absolutely amazing on him. Reality settles in, and we realize we've just been staring at each other. Harry makes a froggy face, which is absolutely adorable and funny.
We spend some time sitting in his bed making silly faces at each other. The light now fully shining in shows that the clouds have rolled away and it must be a beautiful day outside.
"Would you like to go for a walk Kat? The weather looks nice." Harry mentions and I nod in excitement.
I forget that I don't have an extra pair of clothes, so I end up having to wear what I wore yesterday. Harry walks into the living room wearing black jeans, boots, and a grey t-shirt, and I can't help but admire him.
We walk through the front door of his apartment, and I stop to soak in just how great the fresh air feels. Harry notices me and grabs my hand smiling down at me as we walk down the sidewalk to where the shops are.
We talk about random little things. Like how the coffee shop across the street is where he used to work, and how that Mercedes driving past us is my dream car. His tall frame towers over me only being a mere 5 feet and 2 inches. I feel like a small child next to him.
The conversation takes a turn when I ask about his family. He shuts out the question, absolutely not wanting to answer. The way he responded to that makes me suspicious but I decide to leave it alone. For now.
His smile reappears as we walk into a cute little cafe.
"I always come here, whether I'm in a bad mood or I'm just hungry. The food is great." He explains and we take a seat at a table towards the back next to a window.
We have a view of the street and all the cars that drive by. But the most stunning view is the boy in front of me. I've only known him for some time, although it feels like ages since we met.
Our coffee and breakfast arrive as we talk about our dream futures. We smile over the fact that we'd both like to move to Seattle, him wanting to be a personal trainer, and I a photographer.
"Well love we'll just have to move there together am I right?" he laughs and I shake my head in approval laughing.
It begins to rain outside. The grey clouds rumble in creating a shadow over our cozy little town. The whisper of the raindrops against the window is loud enough to create a silent echo around the cafe.
We both agree that oddly, gloomy weather delights us. "Well, when you're sad for most your life, you get used to it. So when this dark weather comes it does make me sad, but feeling that way is comforting since I got used to it, and I enjoy it." He confesses with a look on his face that I can't interpret.
But oh how I relate to him, and all the odd things that we have in common make me feel less insecure. I'm starting to realize that he's been through so much, and I want to know. I want to help him if he's still hurt, even if I'm feeling like him. Were both damaged inside, and we'll help each other.
So I'm pretty proud of this cute little chapter I hope you enjoy it(:
