                     **Rachel's P.O.V**

Her Mother had not forced her to attend a social engagement in a while. Whether it was because she felt guilty about how her engagement became a scandal with Tan's illegitimacy, or because her own sham-fiancé  ended up with charges.

Either way Rachel was grateful, she had actually taken some time to let herself get back in tune with what she liked and what she wanted; not to make it seem like she was 'discovering' herself or any of that nonsense, she knows her place and future as a chaebol is quite paved out, but she likes it that way. This social hiatus of sorts has allowed her to finetune her ideas for the future though, and she has more or less accepted that the only way to survive this cut-throat society of the chaebols is to be at the top.

Her plan is mapped and in motion; keep up her immaculate grades, get an internship that her mother approves of and then it's off to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and then right after get an MBA from Stanford Business school. Everything is set up well for her eventual take-over of RS International. Between her years at FIT, she'll learn the ropes with her mother and after her MBA she shall set up her own private equity firm to create another source of income. Hopefully she'll be able to expand it into another full-fledged business over the years alongside some wise investments in Europe.

Her mother was happy with this, though she did airily try to mention a marriage to a wealthy second-son wouldn't hurt with managing the social scene. Rachel felt she'd be too busy to worry, but these things matter, so she decided to take it upon herself to re-conquer the social world; the adult, actually significant social world; once again.
