LEXI'S POV:

(senior year of high school)

"Stupid Lexi!" Louis Tomlinson shoved me up against a locker.

"What's wrong with you?!" He asked.

"N-nothing." I mumbled. I had made the mistake of leaving the classroom to go to the bathroom.

"Oh really?! I beg to differ!" Louis teased me as I bit the inside is my cheek. "You're fat! You smell terrible! Your hair is always messy! You're short! You have no friends! People hate you!" Louis smirked.

"I-I have friends." I squeaked.

"Aha. Funny. Like who?" Louis questioned me.

"Um, Becca." I told him. Becca was my only friend.

"Becca?! She's just like you! Except she's tall!" Louis sneered. He released me from his grasp and looked me in the eye. "Nobody cares about you. You're just an orphan that got lucky and was adopted. I bet your family hates you." He out so much emphasis on the word 'hate' I cringed.

"I-I-I just..." I mumbled.

"Whatever." I flipped his hair and left. I made my way back to class and quickly sat in my desk. In the back of the room, isolated from everyone else.Itried to listen to the teacher, but my mind kept drifting back to Louis. Does he realize how much his words hurt me? Probably. That's probably why he says those evil things to me.

"Lexi, can you tell me what Shakesphere is trying to say?" My teacher, ms. Lyda asked me.

"Um..." The bell rang and cut me off.

"Tomorrow is the big test! The last one of the year!" Ms. Lyda screamed after the class as the class quickly packed up and left the classroom.

Oh yay. A test. I thought sarcastically. I walked down the halls of the school as kids pushed and shoved pased me. I exited the school and walked home. I only lived about 10 minutes of away. I made the walk home fly by as I kicked things in my path. Sticks, rocks, trash.

"You can shoot me down, but I won't fall. I am titanium..." I sang as I unlocked my front door and walked inside my house. My house wasn't that big. A few rooms, a kitchen, four bathrooms, living space, and a nice backyard. "I'M HOME!" I yelled as I made a bee-line for the kitchen. I opened one of our white-wooden cabinets and pulled out a bag of gummy worms. I plopped myself down in a chair at our table and dug through the bag. I only eat the blue and pink ones. I don't know why, but I like them better than the rest of the colors.

"Hi Lexi!" My 'mom' came into the kitchen and hugged me.

"Hi mom." I smiled and hugged her back.

"How was school?" She asked as she sat down across from me.

"Um, pretty good." I said as I bit off the blue end of a gummy worm. She didn't know about Louis.

"That's great! Any homework? I know that the school year is ending and I was wondering if there was anything you wanted as a graduation present." She smiled and leaned across the table.

"A plane ticket to America." I said as I bit another gummy worm.

"Are you kidding?" She asked laughing but then she turned serious when she noticed I wasn't laughing. "Why would you want to leave?" Because of Louis.

"Because I want to try and take up a career in singing in America." I said while I ate the last gummy worm in the bag.

"Oh. That's very far away. Are you sure you want to go all the way over there?" She asked reaching for my hand.

"I'm more than sure. I'm positive." I looked her in the eye.

"Okay then. You can ask for money from your graduation to take to America. You have a job to right?" She asked.

"Yeah! I work at Starbucks." I said. I had been working there since my first year of high school. I haven't spent a single dollar of my money. I have more than enough money.

"Good. So in a couple of weeks you'll be saying good bye to us and hello to America!" My 'mom' smiled at me. I smiled back as I pushed my chair out and left the kitchen. I climbed the stairs leading up to the second floor. I walked to the end of the hall and turned left. I opened my door and walked inside my room. I flopped down on my twin sized bed and looked up the ceiling. I closed my eyes and thought about Louis. He bullied me all the time and I just wish he wouldn't do that. He doesn't know the effect he has on me. I pushed my self up from my bed and walked to the bathroom that was connected to my room. I closed the door and locked it as I sat down on the toilet and pulled out a razor.

I pulled it across my wrist and watched the blood fall.I cut each time Louis bullied me. And one cut for every mean word he said to me. Worthless. Cut. Idiot. Cut. Stupid. Cut. Nobody loves me. Two cuts. I started to cry and put the razor down. Louis didn't understand how much he hurt me. Luckily I'll never see him again after graduation. We will each go our separate ways and be happy. He can go do random shit and I'll become a singer. That's always been my dream. To sing. I rose from the toilet and pulled out my suit case. I packed all of my favorite clothes and all of my toiletries. As soon as graduation was over and I said good bye to everyone, I was outta here.

GRADUATION DAY~~~~~~~~~~

"Oh honey! I'm so proud of you!" My 'mom' rushed towards me and engulfed me in a hug.

"Thanks, Mum." I smiled and hugged her back. I said hello to my grandparents and cousins and everyone. It was so nice seing everyone here. Together.

"Hello there." A voice said behind me, interrupting my conversation I was having with my gandmother.

"Oh hello dear." My garandmother said as she smiled and waved.

"Hi, I'm Louis Tomlinson and I'm um, one of Lexi's freinds. I am so sorry to interupt, but could I steal her for a moment?" He asked and I groaned. I prayed my grandmother would say no, but the odds were not in my favor however.

"Oh sure!" My grandmother kissed my cheek and smiled. "Have fun dear! We will be waiting by your mum's car!"

"Okay!" I waved to her and turned back to Louis. "What do you want?" I asked him.

"To say good bye to my favorite victim of mine!" Louis smiled that smile that could fool parents and teachers and friends, but not me.

"Yeah, well, nice to say good bye to you too!" I said then turned to leave.

"Wait!" He grabbed my arm.

"Ow! What?"

"It's been fun making fun of you!" Louis smirked then let me go. I. Hate. Him.

NEXT MORNING~~

"Good bye honey!" My 'mum' called to me as I walked towards the gat of my flight.

"Flight 731 to Los Angles is now boarding!" A voice called over the speakers.

"Bye Mum." I cried and felt a tear escape my eye. "I'll call and text everyday. I promise." I hugged her one last time before getting on the flight. As I walked onto the plane, I said good-bye to my old life and hello to a new one! I didn't care how long it took me to become a singer, but I would to rub it in Louis's face. I smiled to myself as the voice annocunced the safety procedures then take off. Hello America!
