"Luther, can you hand me my phone. Nasa table." tamad akong nanood ng TV habang kumakain ng popcorn.
I'm being lazy these days. It's our semestral break and nandito lang ako sa bahay dahil wala naman akong kasama if ever gusto kong gumala. My friends were out of the country for vacation.
"Here." Luther handed me my phone pero agad niyang inangat ang kamay niya upang hindi ko iyon makuha.
"Ano ba Luther? Akin na nga!" I irritatedly yelled at him.
He flashed an evil grin. "Anong sabi mo? Luther? Really huh.."
"What's wrong with that?" inosente kong sabi at sinubukang agawin muli ang phone ko.
"You should be calling me 'Kuya Luther'. You forgot I'm much older than you."
Napairap ako sa sinabi niya.
"Tss. Whatever Kuya Luther." I put emphasis on his name. "Now give me back my phone o isusumbong talaga kita kay Tito."
Luther's twenty five. He's seven years older than me. He's always teasing me so I'll always end up shouting at him too. Hindi na rin naman bago sa akin ito. I'm good with his companion, yun nga lang masyadong mapang-asar.
I'm temporarily living at my Tito's house habang nag-aaral pa ako. My Dad's in US. Pagkagraduate ko ay doon na rin ang diretso ko. Ibinilin ako ni Dad kay Luther, so he's all responsible for me. He's like my babysitter though I'm not a baby anymore.
I'm so happy when we came back to school. Finally, I'll have some good conversation with my friends. Tumambay kami sa bahay nang maagang natapos ang schedule namin.
We were having a chitchat in our living room nang biglang dumaan si Luther sa harap namin. Only half of his body's covered with towel and he's dripping! Narinig ko ang impit na mga tili ng katabi ko. Halos mahilo ako nang yugyugin nila ako.
What the hell?
"Luther!" I gave him my deadly glare.
"Oh I didn't know your friends are here. My bad.." pumasok siya sa kwarto at isinarado iyon.
"Isusumbong kita kay Tito!" pahabol ko pa. I heard his laugh inside the room. He really did that on purpose. Gusto niya na naman akong asarin.
"Damn, Rilaine you're so lucky to see a god like him every day! Pwede bang dito nalang rin ako tumira?"
Napailing nalang ako at tumawa sa kanila. Well I'll admit Luther's really good looking. Kaya niyang palingunin ang sinuman kapag dadaan siya. Kapag sinusundo niya ako sa school nakabuntot na agad ang mga kaklase ko sa akin para lang makita siya. I'm amazed na parang wala lang iyon sa kaniya. Anyway, he's a playboy.
"Luther bilisan mo late na ako!"
I rolled my eyes on him nang makababa na siya. Hinahatid niya ako sa school every morning at sinusundo niya naman ako sa hapon. Palagi siyang late kung gumising kaya iritadong-iritado ako kahit umaga. He'll just gently tap my head kapag nakabusangot na ako sa kanya.
I was surprised one day nang sinundo niya ako sa room at agad naman siyang pinagkaguluhan ng mga classmate kong babae. He doesn't usually go to my classroom. He'll always wait at the parking lot.
"Bakit ba kasi pumunta ka pa sa room? Pwede namang maghintay ka nalang dito sa parking lot. You really like it when girls are all over you huh?" I crossed my arms and didn't look at him.
"Okay I'll never do it again." he tapped my head. "Please don't be jealous.." he whispered in my ear and almost made me shiver.
"What?! Asa! Jealous mo mukha mo!"
