Chapter 1§My summer vacation

My name is Alex I'm 16 and I come from Miami,Florida. My parents have separated many years ago and I live mostly with my mom and his boyfriend, Mike. He's a bit of a wierdo but he is funny so I don't really hate him.

Anyway tomorrow I have my two litte cousins coming over from Italy and I have missed them so much! We are going to spend the rest of the summer with them in Mexico. I am bringing my BFF, Rose. She is kind and crazy and we toghether have always so much fun. I would've liked bringing my boyfriend, Cayden with me too but he has an important sailing race and he couldn't let his team down. II wish I could be there to see hm rae and e the girlfriend of the winner, but I am on a plane heading towards Mexico. The next day my cousins would come and I could see them after a whole two years without them.

It was morning now and we needed to meet the family in the airport in a few hours I got up and checked my phone. 1 missed call from...

"Alex! get dressed and come have breakast! We're in a hurry!" said my mom from dowstairs. It was curious how she would aways know when I was awake....

I changed into a pair of white shorts and black tee and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. I was hungry. I gulped down my toast and scrambled egg with bacon and drank my milk and my juice.

"Alex what happened yeasterday? I had a phone call from Rose's mom and told me you had a fight with Rose and she may not be coming to Mexico. You know that I don't want to get in between your fights, but I need to know wheather she is coming or not because then your cousin Margherita can sleep with you."

"Mom I have no idea what is going on with her in these days. She has these sudden mood swings and then she suddenly starts offending me and saying I'm fat and stuff. We'll have to see at the airoport if she is there or not."

I rush upstair and start packing the luggage for Mexico and suddenly I remember the missed phone call. I pick my phone from my bag and unlock it to see who it was..... Cayden. How sweet of him to call me...

After I had just zipped closed my blue siutcase I hear my mom caliing me "Alex! It's time to go pick up the Italian family!!!" I throw my phone, my sunglasses and my ipod with the earphones into my white bag. I rush downstairs, close the door shut and jump into the car.

I wasn't long until we arrived to the airport and parked waiting for my family to arrive. It took 10 minutes for them to arrive in the meantime I was texting ayden and thanking him for tha call and that unfortunatly I couldn't have called him back.

Suddenly I hear my mom screaching "We're here!" at the top of her lungs to a group of peoplee. She went rushing towards them and before I knew it I was standing in front of my family hugging them all. We put their luggage in the back as they hopped into the car and started heading towards home. I was so happy of thier visit and we seemed a big happy family toghether. Suddenly my aunt Isabelle turned around and gaave me a white present coleded with a cream satin ribbon. It took me a ew secnds to relaise what was happening and to register it into my brain. "Thank you Isabelle you shouldn't have brought me this!" I said as I reached out for the packet and untying the ribbon. I finished untying it and opened it up and with big surprse it was a black dress with stripes of small black veil sticking out and the back was a big U. It was just adorable I thanked Isabelle for this present and when we came home I gave her my preset for her. It was a pair of turquoise feathered earings tat were just soo cute I would've liked keeping them for me. She had a huge smile on her face and thanked me very much for the present. I brought my two little cousins upstairs to ther room and helped them unpack their bag and put into the wardrobe. Again out of their two bags came another present and unwrapped it too and it was a little necklace with written my name in gold. It was just adorable. Marerita said "We have chosen it for you toghether". I thanked them and hugged them hard and thanked little Giacomo too.

I went back into my room and started texting with Rose about weather she was coming or not to Mexico. In the end we did all go and the very next day we were on a plane going to Mexico.....
