p r o l o g u e

"You really don't have?" your friend asked you for the thousandth time.

"Don't you know what 'no' means?" you turned your head facing her, already annoyed by the same question asked almost everyday.

"Yeah no." she answered with sarcasm.

"Do we really need to have a crush just to prove you're a human being?" you sighed.

Yes, you don't have a crush and no one believes you. You can say you're uninterested in having one, you're just not into those. You never had any crush out of all the 16 years you've been living in this hell we call Earth. You're open to have one though, but that'll be hard, since they must fit my high standards.

"What's happening there?" you asked, extending your neck to get a clear view as you removed your resting elbows from the metal rails.

"Let's go see!" Lia suggested, but you decided to stay and let her tell you instead. You we're curious, but you're just lazy.

"Just tell me what it is~ Please~" you acted cute, begging her to be considerate of your laziness. She rolled her eyes, and starts walking to the growing crowd.

You waited there for a few minutes, starting to get impatient. Luckily, she arrived just before you became fully impatient.

"So what's happening?" you asked your annoyed-looking friend. "Yah, what's with that face?"

"I wasted my time. It's the same thing that happens every month, or should I say, week?" the girl rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Oh, the greatest playboy asking out a girl just to play with her heart again?" you shrugged and rolled your eyes, "Let's go back." you commanded, and started going down the steps of the stairs as Lia followed you, still seeping at the scene, looking angry and sad at the same time. You knew Lia liked Taehyung ever since the first months of the school year. You pitied her because the guy he likes flirts with everybody, just to play with their feelings. You were scared since Lia is an easy-to-get person and when the time will come where Taehyung will notice Lia's feelings, he'll steal Lia from you, your one and only true friend. You're scared he'll brainwash Lia with his notorious acts and lies.

"Yah, forget about him, he'll just hurt you." you patted her back.

She looks at you, her suffering face showing, "I'm trying to.." she looks down, "Why am I like this.." she saddens.

"I'm scared Lia.." you said in a worried voice. She looks up at you, waiting for you to continue.

"I'm scared he'll steal you from me, and I'll be alone, no one's got my back—"

"That's not gonna happen. I won't let him do that." she smiled, and you felt reassured...

Only after a few months.
