the moon light beautifully decorates the delicate and elegant night party. smiles were thrown casually, or awkwardly to each guests, since it's been more than five years.
it's been seven, to be exact.
byulyi was rushing towards the front door, catching her breath as she sees the guests already filling up the place, thinking she might've been late and she didn't want the attention, at all. sighing in defeat, she pushed through the metal gates, stumbling on her balance as she heard a few more gasps inside while seeing her.
"oh my god, byulie!"
the voice made her chuckle softly, automatically smiling as she sees her old friends in the idol industry. "heeyeon!" she waves her hands enthusiastically, watching her wave back before standing up to approach her. laughter emerged in her awkward bubble, as heeyeon embraces her as if it has been so long. "it's been a lot of years!" she squeezes byulyi in the impulsive hug, hearing her giggle before hugging her back. "i know, i know." she rubs her back, as heeyeon pulls away. "where's my little angel?"
byulyi smiles weakly at heeyeon.
life has been a struggle for byulyi seven years ago, yet she was now living her life happily with her first child as a single-mother. heeyeon was one of the people that took the news happily seven years ago before byulyi decided to disappear on the industry of idols due to her circumstances.
"chaeyeong's with my mom, she's still studying for her exams." byulyi explains with a smile, as heeyeon pouts. "i was so afraid that you're not going to come tonight, it's been so long!" she grabs her arm, leading her to a familiar set of group in a table. "we've been gathering for continuous years it feels different without you."
byulyi silently sees sandeul and ken looking at her with a yearning smile, making her chuckle softly.
they have all aged well.
"you've became more beautiful, byul-ah!" ken claps, allowing her to fall in comfort with them. "did i?" she chuckles softly, sliding on the empty seat beside heeyeon. "mm, i'm speechless." sandeul dramatically held his chest, finally beaming as soon as he gets familiar with her infamous nose dimples while smiling, easing his heart.
they've missed her too much.
"so, how's our little chaeyeong doing?" sandeul opens the question, making byulyi grin. "ah, she's just doing everything that her mom haven't done when she's in elementary." she smugly speaks. "like?" heeyeon curiously asks.
"excel academically and not in offenses?" byulyi giggled, letting the tension loose in the table as they all shared their laughter with her. "that's good."
after a good talk, their silence soon falls completely when byulyi found someone that she haven't seen for a good amount of years.
kim seokjin.
he still looks as beautiful before she disappears out of the blue. his pillow-like lips, his shiny eyes and doll-like features, she couldn't help but hold her breath after seeing him strolling close to their table.
the empty table beside her, maybe it was meant for him... gulping softly, she gently moved her seat to give him space. "jinnie!" everyone yells, excluding her. he smiles endearingly like before, before he saw her.
both of their eyes widen at the sudden contact, as seokjin whispers. "byulie?"
with his soothing voice, instead of being all flustered... byulyi could only smile and whisper. "long time no see, seokjin."
