ANTHEA'S POV
"Anthea, will you marry me?" Lucas asked with a devious smile plastered on his face.
He knew I couldn't say no. My parents depended on me to say yes. They believed he was a good suitor for me and our marriage would be great for the family business as he was an influential man, but only I knew his true intentions. I knew the marriage was bound to happen, but I didn't expect it to be this soon because I needed time to expose Lucas' evil plan , but he must have known what I had planned in mind.
"Anthea, Lucas is waiting for your response." said My mum, Antelia Parker with angst very evident in her voice.
Have you ever been in this situation, whereby you don't want to let someone down, but you have to, but you can't?
Well this was definitely one of those moments.
"Anthea!" Lucas' deep voice startled me back to reality as well as making everyone around him turn to him because of his sudden change in tone.
" I mean Anthea" He said in a much calmer tone in order not to raise suspicions, "Will you marry me?"
"Yes, yes I will." I exclaimed quickly not trusting myself to speak anymore.
The shock was very clear in his eyes as I agreed to his marriage proposal.
Why I agreed you may ask, only because I had a new plan; a very risky one.
