This is it. I'm going to ask him. The question I've been wanting to ask him for some time now, I am going to ask. I've been wanting to find some courage to finally ask him, but it's just never been there. Now I've found it and the next time I see him I will ask him.
I set the candles down on the bath and ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, taking in what I had done. If this doesn't make him smile then nothing will.
His favourite food, spaghetti, was in the middle of our rounded table and scented candles were on the cabinets around the table. A single rose was in sitting in a vase by the pot of spaghetti. Happy music was softly playing in the background and I was getting anxious as to when he would be home.
I glanced at the clock and I noticed that it was hardly moving. It took about two minutes to move to a second. What the hell? It was now 8:39 and he would be getting home at 9. I tapped my foot in annoyance.
After what seemed eternity the front door was pushed open and slammed shut. Footsteps were heard walking towards me and I turnt so I was facing the door. Big hands pushed it open and my boyfriends face appeared, jaw dropped open.
"Whatis this?" He breathed out, looking at all my hard work. I turned back around and stared at the rose on the candle. I felt hands on mys houlders, massaging them and I smiled.
"I did this for you because you deserve it." I whispered, again turning so I was facing him.
He smiled, pulling me into his chest and kissing the top of my head. I breathed in the scent of my handsom boyfriend and smiled to myself.
"Well, because my girlfriend took all this time to make this for me, I suggest we tuck in." He went to walk to the table but I stopped him by puttingmy arm in front of his chest.
"There's more." I bit my lip to keep me from smiling like a idiot. Beau raised his eyebrows in wonder.
"Seriously? What did you do?" He asked, smiling widely. I shrugged my shoulders as a way to tell him that he had to wait to see my other surprise. "You're going to make me wait, why?"
"Because I don't want you knowing what it is whilst we're eating because you'll be more excited about that than the food that took a long time to make." I said, pouting, hoping he would drop the subject andjust say thank you.
