The pitter-patter of the rain against the window pane is the only sound that can be heard as I continue to lay beside the man who I treasured the most. His long lashes brushes gently on his cheeks every time his eyes twitches restlessly as he continued to dream. Spending my time staring at him always brings me back to my musings about the things that I have done to deserve his affection and love.

It has been six years since I met him back at the airport. I could not forget how his black eyes shine in excitement when I arrived. How his lips grinned in that sweet boyish grin before bolting towards me and then he swift me off of my feet greeting me with that soft whispering voice.

"Camilla…"

The gentle caress on my cheeks had pulled me back to present, eyes flickered to him a little confused before I realized that he was calling for me.

"Camilla." he called again, his brows furrowed a little as I continued to stared at him. "Ca - "

"I heard you for the first time." I whispered with a teasing smile at him which made him raised his brows skeptical of my claim. "I was just enjoying the view." I explained.

"That astound you so much that you forgot to respond." he said with finality, slowly reaching out to me by propping up and brushed his lips with mine. "What are you thinking?" he asked softly his lips still with mine.

"Why are you whispering?" I asked back giving him a kiss.

"I dunno, the circumstance called for it?" he answered unsure.

"You mean due to the rain outside?" I proposed, with a sigh he tuck himself under me while his head is resting against my collar as he bury his self back to bed.

"Speaking of rain, this is making me lazy." he murmured, nuzzling my neck and peppering with small kisses that made me scoff in disbelief and plop myself on top making him grunt feeling my weight on him.

"Your action tells me otherwise."

"Hm? Just because I am peppering you with my affection does not mean I want action." he contest. "Or is it you that wants a little scuffle on this fine weather." he added, his warm hand resting at the curve of my waist.

"Gil." I muttered his name with a warning.

"Cam." he called for my name with conviction.

And then we shared a minute of silence then I sigh in defeat. "You are such a child." leaving a kiss on his cheek before I moved to get up on the bed. "Get up little man." I pat his knee, coaxing him off of the bed, However this man had a different thing on his mind as he reached for a pillow and covered his head with a moan.

"No."

"Oh come on. Get up lil' boy." I called again tugging the hem of his shirt.

"But it's cold and cozy." he shifted.

"I'll brew some coffee." I said in endearing tone.

"Not interested."

"Then what do you want so that you can get off of the bed and start moving around?" I asked, my thumb gently rubbing on his knee.

"Hm." he hummed as he peek on the pillow to look at me. "Scuffle?" he suggested brows wriggling up and down that made me smile.

"No not now. Scuffling now is not a good time." I shake my head when he clicked his tongue.

"How about not going anywhere today? I barely spend time with you on my day offs." he said removing the pillow and sat-up. "It's not that important right?" he added.

"You know that it's important Gil. It has always been from the beginning." I reasoned.

"I think your friend will understand if you miss today."

"No Gi -"

"You can go tomorrow instead." he interjected. "Please? I will be away for 2 weeks for work and then later, I will need to prepare early to not miss my flight tomorrow at 12:00 am." he added.

"I'll be back early." I refused reaching for his hand. "I promise." I reassured him.

"You're really not backing down?"

"I back down to each of your whims but not this one." I intertwined my fingers with his and gave a firm squeeze.

"Just visiting?" he squeezed back.

"Just visiting." I smiled.

"When will I ever meet this friend of yours?" he asked but realized that it was the wrong question so he cough and rephrased. "I mean, when can I visit this very important friend?"

"In due time." I whispered in melancholic; my mind drifting back to my - no, our promise of a lifetime.

"Alright." he caved as he reach out to caress my face and tug the corner of my lips to a small smile. "But please refrain this gloomy face. It makes me feel gloomy as well." he gently smiled and place a kiss on my forehead. "I'll go down first to start that coffee while you prepare yourself. Okay?"

"Thank you." I answered and see him slowly making his way out of the bedroom then downstairs to the kitchen. As soon as he disappeared from my vision, I slump back to the bed staring at the mirror watching the reflection of the rain that pitter-patter on the window as I slowly drifted back to the depth of my mind.
