Y/n POV
Before he had a chance to get the door open, I managed to grab a screwdriver from underneath the sink. That was the only thing I could think of to get us out of this situation.

"I know what you're trying to do," he stated.

When I didn't respond, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me out the bathroom. Luckily, it was not the one that had the screwdriver. He led me down the long hallway which led back to where Billie was. Since he was not paying attention to me, I decided to take this chance. I brought my hand back and plunged the screwdriver deep into his chest. He let out a horrible cry. After he dropped to the floor, I clumsily made my way over to Billie. Her eyes were partially open and her lips were dry. Quickly, I untied her and used all of my strength to carry her. It was a struggle trying to get out of the door and placing her in the car. I laid her down in the backseat and made sure she was comfortable.

Finally, we reached the hospital and I practically dragged her out the car. At this point, my hands were sweaty and I screamed for help. The last few moments were a blur. I didn't even notice the nurses taking her away from me. Once I got inside, they had asked me loads of questions. I tried to give them the shortest answers possible since I was out of breath.

"We assure you that she'll be alright," the nurse had told me, "A few stitches to her head and a couple of bandages is what she needs."

"I have someone you can call for her during visiting hours," I mentioned.

After I gave them the number, I headed back to her house. Someone had called the cops because police were surrounding the area. I hopped out of my car and one of the officers came up to me. He asked who owned the house and what had happened. I told him my whole side of the story and maybe a small little lie here and there. Also, he told me Billie would be questioned once she was out of the hospital.

Since there was nobody home, they had not searched the place yet. As soon as I opened the door, they started looking for evidence. Meanwhile, I started thinking. Again. My mind filled with so many thoughts. What if I wasn't able to save me and Billie? What if he had killed us? A loud voice echoed through the living room. An officer who yelled was now standing in front of me. He was trying to tell me something but I couldn't understand a word he was saying.

I asked, "Can you repeat that again?"

Instead of telling me the new information, he showed me. We walked down the hallway and it gave me flashbacks from earlier. I stopped and hesitantly looked down. The investigators were taking samples of blood off the floor. Suddenly, I got chill and my heartbeat quickened.

"Well wh-where is he?" i asked then gulped.

"Ma'am, he's gone."
