Once upon a time, in a huge villa lived an old man as rich as anyone hasn’t ever seen.  The walls of the villa were covered with gold, the ceiling with silver, the floor with bronze and the basement was full of money.
The rich old man was alone, and the only beings in his life were the domestic elves.  The old man was already 90 years old and knew that death would soon come.  But before he left, she still had a desire.  He promised to the person who will be able to bring him to the Creator half of his fortune.  Several months had passed, no one dared to say that he could accompany him to the Creator and the old man lost hope.
One winter night, when the wind outside did not allow to look through the crack of the door and even the most powerful spells could not keep the fire in the stove someone knocked on the door.
The elf opens the door, and a black being with the hood in his head snaps inside, without revealing the face.
<< Who are you? >> asks the old man.
<< I came to take you to the Creator. >> replies the being with the face covered.
<< You have to show me who you are if you want me to give you half of my wealth. >> explains the old man.
<< You'll have to come with me if you want me to show you who I am.  I do not need your wealth, nor will you need it after reaching the Creator.  >>
<< But who are you?  >>
<< I'm the one you have been waiting for so long.  >> Death responds.
<< And why should I believe that you will take me from the Creator? >> asks the old man.
<< Because you have no choice.  I don't need your approval to take you with me, but so I could have fun listening the desire you bring to the creator.  >> declares Death putting a dry hand on his arm.
The old man feels how his body passes cross the cold breeze from outside and that thousands ice needles hit him all over his body, then he sees himself in a white round room.  The room seems to have neither beginning and nor end.  All he sees is just a  white smoke.  Only a few steps around them is lit up like on a summer day.  As they move forward the room in front of them it is created and behind them it disappears keeping constant size.
In one side of the room there is a fountain of silver and instead of water fall large snowflakes the size of a ball.
The ball slides on a gray stone plate, and a sword falls on it, breaking it in half.  One part of the ball falls into one cut and the other into another and they slip into the fog that nobody doesn't know where leads.
<< What are these balls?  >> asks the old man.
<< These are the souls of those who are not yet born. >> answers Death.
<< And why are they destroyed?  >>
<< They are not destroyed, they are separated in two halves, and will belong to the two people who will meet each other on earth and the halves of soul will fuse in one soul.  >>
<< What happens if one half of the soul falls on one side of the earth and another on the other side?  >>
<< Wherever the soul falls, they will meet each other.  >>
The old man seems dissatisfied ,  Death raises two fingers and two halves of soul float in front of her.  Death puts her dry hands on them, approaches them a few centimeters, and the two halves are fussing in one soul  without leaving the marks of the previous separation.
<< But , if one half soul tries to unite with another stranger half? >>
Death puts the soul under the sword to separe it again in two halves.  She makes  them to float separately while with the other hand takes another half of soul and introduces it between the two.  She puts her skeletal fingers on the halves soul and tries with all her force to approach them.  The halves of the soul refuses to fuse as two Magnets invented by NonMags until the piece of alien soul slips between the two halves and allows them to fuse, making a perfect soul.
<< Two different pieces of soul can never be together.  >> explains Death.
The old man remembers the reason of his visit and asks:
<< Where is the Creator?  I don't see him.  >>
  Death laughs, then speaks:
<< It has no soul and body like us, It has wisdom that has more value.  Is everywhere.  >> Death extends her arms and looks around.  << Ask what you want. >>
  << I would like to ask ... why didn't I meet my soulmate?  >>
<< Are you sure you haven't met her? >>  asks an echo that comes from all sides and does not seem to belong to a woman or a man.
  << I'm sure. >>
<< Then, do you want to meet her? >> asks the strange voice.
  << Yes ... >>
  << How can I help you?  >>
<< Turn back the time with 70 years ... >> replies the old man full of hope, but Death laughs.
<< As you like.  >> says the Creator.
The fog envelops him and suffocates him and he wakes up again at 20 years old.  He lives life differently from the previous one and at the age of 90 when death comes, he tells her that he has not met his half and declares that he wants to be brought back to the Creator.  Death takes him by the arm and thousands arrows pierce his body.  He reaches the white room again, and the Creator  offers him a chance.  Then it gives him another possibility, then another and another ... The seventh time when the Death comes, tired of seeking him through the world and  takes him to the Creator, the old man speaks:
<< I lived seven lives and each time I tried to live differently.  I was poor, I was rich, I was a servant, I was king but I never met my half until tonight when Death came to my house and I realized that in these seven lives I only one soul met seven times.  But I don't understand how it happened. >>
<< When you first time came here, Death told you that wherever the souls would fall, they would eventually meet their halves.  You have met your soulmate, you could say "late" and you will not agree with me, but I only create souls, but the way they  are choosing by themselves .  >>.
Sounds the sound of a bell and the old man becomes the human creature with wings that people call an angel.
<< From now,  your earthly life is over.  I will give you the role of guide for the people and when the time comes that Death will come to take them, you will hold them by the hand and lead them together with Death to their resting place. >>
This legend means that every soul has a half with which it will meet, but when this will be and what the circumstances will be to people it is not allowed to know.
