Jeon WonWoo's pov

I let the worried me took the action. I stood up from my lying position, wore my hoodie and slipped on my slippers.

I took the elevator to the second floor. I followed the sound to find its source. I walked down the hall and I stopped at the door. No. 17, the plat on the door read. I hesitated for a while. Worried if I would be interrupting something. I supressed the hesitation and knocked upon the door.

3 seconds passed, there's no response. I knocked again.

Then, a girl opened up. Her sweater was zipped up to her chin. She was wearing a pair of round glasses. Her hair was put into a messy ponytail.

"Umm... hey, I thought I hear a glass shattering noise just now, so... I'm wondering if everything is fine?" I asked straightforwardly. But still some nervous tones and wavered were noticeable.

She wore an unreadable poker face.

"Uh..." her lips trembled a bit before proceeding, " There's no glass shattering, sir. I think your ears are playing tricks on you."

"Oh, okay." I replied, unsure of how to handle the situation.

There's a second of silence.

"But... thanks for asking, that's nice of you. I have to go back in right now." She broke the silence.

"Wish I could tell you about the noise but I didn't hear a thing." She muttered then pursed her lips into a thin line.

"It must have been the wind," she said while a small smile.

It must've been the wind. I was not convinced but I would take that for this moment. I was sure that it was more than just wind that blew past us.

I would ask her again next time.
