Cora looked at her friend worriedly, pursing her lips before deciding not to push it, instead, scanning the cluttered lab in front of them. "Okay. I honestly have no clue what we're looking for, but I think it's something important. Usually, I wouldn't think twice about it if only Tony was working on it, because he does dumb stuff like make robotic dogs, but Bruce is sensible and tends to make only important things." The lab was a fairly large room, however, it looked a lot smaller due to the scattered notebooks, tables, equipment, and supplies thrown all around. It was a homely, comfortable place in a weird way, and a place where both Starks felt in their element.

They decided to split off, each looking for something of value. Quinn tapped the hologram screen in confusion a few times, and when a new screen popped up she squeaked and jumped back, with Cora laughing obnoxiously in the background.

Quinn then turned around, only to see Cora vigorously searching through a cabinet, throwing spare parts and a variety of brightly colored snacks onto the ground next to her. She let out a triumphant sound, holding up a package of sour candies.

"What's that?" Quinn asked, confused by the pure happiness and joy on Cora's face.

"Sour patch Watermelon, the best candy ever created. Try one." Quinn tried one and immediately made a face. It wasn't very sour and did not taste like watermelon at all, and Quinn couldn't understand how anyone would like them.

To not hurt Cora's feelings, though, she just said "That's... interesting", and Cora shrugged.

"It takes a certain palette."

They resumed their search.

"Hey, Cora," Quinn said, pointing at a machine on a table, "take a look at this."

They found a hastily-covered up mainframe, outlining a vague android-like shape. It's body was still just a shell, and when they tapped it, a variety of plans showed up on the hologram screen next to it.

"What the hell?" Cora muttered. "What type of thing is this?" She scanned the information, frowning.

The sound of footsteps was heard outside the room. Cora identified Tony's confident gait, and Nat's quiet ninja walk, but the rest were unidentifiable.

"Crap!" Cora whispered, looking around for somewhere to hide, with no obvious places visible. Quinn threw the sheet over the mainframe, just in time for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to enter the room. When they found Quinn and Cora, their faces were immediately suspicious.

"What are you two doing here?" Tony asked, narrowing his eyes and looking around for anything out of place. They were all in their uniforms.

Quinn blinked, opening her mouth to say an excuse but Cora beat her to it.

"I wanted to show Quinn the lab, she was curious about the hologram screens."

The Responsible Adults™ were not convinced, but they let it slide. Cora locked eyes with Clint, begging him not to tell on them. He mouthed "I'm no snitch" and Cora suddenly felt confident in her abilities of sneaking away.

Susan- shout out to chewyftw on discord for not snitching on me when I badmouthed an asshole that was the owner of a server unlike sOmEoNe who snitched and got me banned

"Right, well, we're going on a mission tonight, to try and get Loki's magic stick. The Winchester brothers are on babysitting duty, since there's no way we trust you two alone," Tony said. "You can connect with your com if you want, Cora."

"Okay... can we get pizza?" Quinn asked.

BOOOKKMARKKKK

Steve shuddered at the thought of the cheesy, greasy food, but Tony nodded. "Sure, whatever you want. Don't drive Sam and Dean up the wall, I gave them permission to exorcise you if necessary."
