It was the start of Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts. Everyone was in the Great Hall, sat at their house tables, as professor McGonagall lead in the new first years to the front of the hall, like usual of every new school year. Even the new batch of pupils seemed the same, the same nervousness, the same innocent faces with the same occasional not so innocent faces within the crowed.

As they strolled past, Harry realised there was something off about one of the new first years. This first year stayed right at the back almost detaching itself from the others packed together in front. This student wore a black cloak which reached the floor and held a hood over its head, looking down making itself look weak, vulnerable, shy but this was all neglected when Harry saw the way to familiar smirk on its face as it glided past keeping his... full... attention.

Once they reached the front, the sorting began the were cheers and applause as the newcomers waltzed there way to there new Hogwarts families while Harry just seemed to clap along there house or not as he's mind was preoccupied of who that student was. '...was the first year planning something, was it big, was it something else, was it a spy for Voldemort-' he line of thought was cut off when the sorting hat shouted, "HUFFLEPUFF!!" After the newest of Hufflepuff made there way to there table everyone started to whispering of who was the one in the cloak after finally noticing the student well everyone but Harry and... Draco Malfoy, who was, along with Harry, intensely staring the moment the the student walked past, noticing the mischievous smirk plastered on the face.

Professor McGonagall glanced down at the student at then looked down at the list and raised her voice to gather everyone's full attention back, which worked, "Now would you mind removing your cloak Miss... " she looked back down, narrowing her eyes, at the parchment in her hand and scoffs out in disbelief which shock and surprises almost everyone in the hall but at both her tone and what she says, "...Miss Lily Malfoy-Potter, "

As she said her last name, Lily walks slowly forward, gracefully flickering her hood back and letting her cloak fall off her small shoulders and then into silver and gold sparkes engulfed by the air. She was about an inch shorter for her average age group height, her very bleached hair like snow with a slight wildness reached down past her hip. Her eyes practically glowed vibrant green as she turns round to face everyone just before the stool catching everyone in her beauty. That smirk turned into an amused smile as she looked round the room to see paled faces and people in mid gasp.

Ron jaw seemed to become dislocated as his eyes almost popped out his head, Hermione gasped sharply and covered her mouth with both hands with a look of pure shock. Harry on the other hand fell off the bench, now laying on his side on the floor, still looking up at the girl in utter disbelief. Draco along with Professor Snape, was looking as this was some confusing dream or joke as they both glared at the girl who just seemed to giggle at the looks.

Lily looked at McGonagall, who was trying to keep a blank face trying to hide her disbelieving expression, then looked behind her looking at Headmaster Dumbledore and her eyes asked him if she was to give the news or him. He simply just shook his head and stood up with a loud scuff of his chair, rewarded with everybody's attention.

Dumbledore looked round at the interest filled faces and cleared his throat before speaking with that irritating sparkle in his misty blue eyes, "Well just by looking at all your faces, I can tell you have questions but to put it simply," he smiled down at the girl who looks slightly bored already, "There is no mistake with the name and no she is not from any family who has the same surnames as are very own Mr. Potter or Mr. Molfoy, she has both families blood running through her vains," everyone looks to be in confusion.

Professor Snape stands and questions Dumbledore in a cold tone, " Dumbledore, this must be a mistake, there has never been any offspring of both the families together, "
