You were a woman on a mission.

Your target? One man named Jackson Wang.

Your mission? Finding out why he'd been avoiding you since the Mistletoe incident at Bam's Christmas Party last week.

With a sigh, you threw on your coat and pulled down your beanie before heading out to brave the snow. Jackson was hosting the New Years Eve Party which meant that there was no chance he could avoid you and that you could finally get some answers.

Trudging through the snow, you thought about the silliness of the whole situation. So what if you found yourselves standing under the mistletoe? What was the big deal? People kissed under it all the time. Strangers. Couples. Best Friends. Why did it matter that he found himself under it with you?

Bristling, you remembered the mortified look on Jackson's face before he ran off and left the party. Did he find it that awful to kiss you? It wasn't like he had to kiss you on the lips; sure that a kiss on the cheek was not against the rules. It was tradition, it wasn't like it had to mean anything anyway.

Besides, it wasn't like you wanted to kiss him.

Silly, of course you wanted to kiss him. You had wanted a kiss from him for the past five years, being in love with him and all. A part of you knew that doing so would be bad for your heart if he rejected you but a part of you thought that maybe he wanted to kiss you, too. That maybe, he felt the same as you did.

Unfortunately, those questions were left unanswered. More determined than ever, you would make sure to get the answers you needed tonight.

The party was in full swing.

Jackson watched on from the second floor of his apartment, his eyes roaming through the crowd to make sure that everyone was having fun. That there was enough food and drinks for everyone; he was the host after all.

Actually, that was a lie. What he was really doing was searching through the sea of bodies to see if there was any sign of you.

But there was none.

Not that he could blame you for not showing up, he had been ignoring you after all, ever since Bam's Christmas party. Damn that mistletoe, it just had to be there.

See, Jackson was a meticulous planner. So, after finally plucking up the courage to tell you how he felt about you, he had planned his confession down to the last detail. That mistletoe that he found himself under with you? Not part of the plan.

Naturally, flight was his only response. So, as much as he hated himself for the look of hurt that flashed across your face when he hesitated in kissing you, he forced himself to turn and run away. Leaving you behind at the party with no explanation whatsoever.

Unable to come up with a decent enough excuse to tell you why that happened, Jackson resorted to ignoring you the whole week after. It was easy enough, considering he was busy planning for the party anyway. It was a dick move but he was sure that you would forgive him once he could explain everything to you... whenever that would be.

"Stop sulking," Jinyoung instructed him as he stood next to his sulking friend by the railing.

"I can't help it," Jackson whined. "She's not coming."
