Chapter 22

Yumi's POV
I felt my body trembled as I face Senjuro, his aura was so intimidating and scary. But I pushed my fear away, I will stop him. I dashed towards him and grabbed his hand but he pushed me roughly making me fall down. I stand up and hugged his back, I winced in pain as he clawed my hand holding it tightly. Tears started to cascade in my eyes as I endure the pain. He suddenly pulled me pulling me closer to him. His crimson eyes was glaring at me while gritting his sharp teeth. I smiled gently and used my other hand to touch his face.

" Senjuro, it's me Yumi." I softly said, his eyes widened and his grip started to loosen, I took the oppurtunity and wrapped my arms his waist and leaned my head in his chest. He flinched and stared pushing me away,  I just closed my eyes and tightened the hug. " Please come back, Karin-san   is worried you know." Listening Karin's name maked him stopped and tears started to roll down in his face. Seeing him crying tightened my heart and cupped his face making me look at me.

" She didn't blame you not at all. Also I don't blame you because I love you." I continued as tears started to fall in my eyes again. I kissed his cheeks while closing my eyes, I felt his hand touch my back while pressing his lips on mine. I gasped but relaxed, his other hands wrapped towards to my waist pulling me more closer to him. He pulled back knowing that we need some air, I stared at his eyes. It was still glowing red and his eyes changed into gentle one. He held my head and placed to his chest.

" Sorry, did I scare you?" He gently asked making me smile and shook my head.

" Ahem, we still have an enemy." I heard Kocho said making us pull away. Senjuro sighed and ruffles my hair, before walking towards Kanao and Inosuke who is fighting Douma. Kocho and Hana also joined them, I stepped back a little bit far away from them. I don't want to be a burden and want to leave but my feet is weak. I sighed and fell down, my whole body feels so weak right now, I guess I'm in my limit right now. After fighting some.of the normal demons and also the upper moon two, I used my remaining strength to stop Senjuro.

I remember the thing that the demon mentioned, he told my I'm their queen and also he knew everything about the curse and the demon who had a deal with my grandfather. I can't still believe it, lot of things happened in only hours and I'm lost. I'm a normal human and yet a demon sees me as their queen.

" My Queen, I came here to take you." I hurriedly turned my back and saw a demon infront of me. Her hair was covering her face while holding a biwa instrument in her hands. Before I stand up I heard the biwa played and Senjuro shouts my name. The whole place suddenly changed and changed as the biwa kept on playing. I yelped when I fell down in the ground and felt an immense aura beside me. I turned my gaze and saw one of the demon.

" Yumi!?." I flinched when I heard Kyojuro's voice, I faced him and saw some of the pillar who is badly injured together with Tanjiro. Why am I here? All I can remember is a biwa was played. I backed away when the demon infront of me held his hand to touch me.

" Don't be afraid, my queen." He smiled, he also called me a queen. I tensed when his hand touch my face.

" Don't touch her!" Kyojuro dashed towards him but got slammed away.

" Kyojuro-niisan!" I tried approaching him but something was wrapped around my body. It was a black shadow but it's forbiding me to move or escape.

" Using a girl as a bait to kill us! Muzan!" I heard the wind pillar roared in anger as he points his sword to Muzan. The demon chuckled and approached me cupping my face with one hand.

" That's rude human. I can't do that to my queen." All of the pillars were shocked especially Kyojuro.

" Queen you say!? But she is a human." One of the pillar said, they are all confused right now.

" She maybe a human but her blood is special." I tensed when his hand rubs my face, but I tried my face glaring at him. He humned staring me with amaze face.

" Don't touch her!" I heard a familiar voice as my face was covered by a hand. Knowing the warmth of it makes me relaxed and feel safe. Also the thing was wrapped around me loosened and someone carried me. The hands that covered my eyes was removed, I met a certain crimson pair of eyes. I hugged him tightly while tears cascade on my eyes. He then hugged me back as he stared at Muzan with angry eyes.

" Senjuro? You're here and why is your eyes red like Muzan?" Kyojuro asked confusedly.

" I'll explain it to you later Aniki." He said replied.

" Damn you human! Return her now!" Muzan yelled as he used the black thing around him to attack us. Senjuro carried me again and jump back avoiding and cutting Muzan's attack, Senjuro scoffed while pointing his sword to Muzan.

" She is not yours Muzan, and she is not your Queen." Senjuro replied, Muzan's eyes widened as he met Senjuro's eyes.

" Y-you are also cursed by the demon god. T-that means..."

" You already knew it right Kibutsuji Muzan. If one of the curse person mark the other one it means breaking the curse, but it had a risk also." Senjuro said and I felt his arms tightened around me. I faced him, he was hesitating and I can see fear on his face. Muzan suddenly chuckled.

" You may break the curse but one of you will die." My eyed widened, we want to break the curse but one of us will die. I don't want that to happen, we don't know who will die if we do it. Why does things get complicated? We want to be free but why can't we be free? I want to spent my life with Senjuro forever but I think it will not happen.

' Don't be afraid and break the curse.' I heard a sudden voice in my head, and then my body glowed making Senjuro widened his eyes. This presence it's grandfather, I can feel that he was protecting me. I faced Senjuro and cupped his face.

" Senjuro mark me." His eyes widened as he grabbed my hand tightly.

" No! I will not le-" I cut him by cupping his face while smiling gently.

" Trust me, someone is protecting us." I said, he hesitated for a while before pulling me and stepping back. Senjuro nod to Kyojuro signaling him to not let Muzan approach us.

" I won't let you break the curse!" Muzan yelled but I ignored it and stared at Senjuro's eyes. His face was showing anger and guilt making me smile and give a peck on his lips. He is afraid that I will be sacrifice like Karin did.

" Senjuro, don't hesitate. I knew we will live, trust me okay." I said he nod as he touched my face. His hand hold my head tilting it a little, I shivered when I felt his breath tickling the crook of my neck. I felt him get  closer but suddenly stopped, again he was hesitating.

" Yumi, I love you." I heard him whispered before I felt his lips kissed my neck until I felt the point of his sharp teeth started deepen his bite. I grabbed his haori as I felt the sharp pain in my neck. I'm not sure what's gonna happen but I will bravely face it.
