Spotting Summer in the hallway by her locker brightened Maddox's mood. He wasn't a fan of Monday mornings- who was really? But it was hard to brood when he looked at her. Sneaking up behind his high school flame, Maddox wrapped his arms around Summer's waist and kissed her on the neck.

"Hey, sexy. Got a date for the prom?"

Summer was trying to decide between whether she should wear pink or purple, when she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her and a kiss on her neck. It instantly made her smile.

"Oh...I don't know....I did have one guy I wanted to go with, but he has a girlfriend...," she teased.

Maddox had been her crush for as long as she could remember and even now, as they were together, he still gave her those butterfly feelings in her belly. She definitely loved him, but they hadn't exchanged those three little words yet.

Maddox stepped in front of her and put his hands on her shoulder. He smiled at her mischievously, his green eyes full of adoration.

"She doesn't stand a chance," he said kissing her. Maddox crossed his arms, the way he does when he's about to get serious, and leaned his shoulder against Summer's locker. "My dad is riding my ass again about this whole prom thing. I think my mom is going to work on him a bit, he can't say no to her. I am trying to get her to convince him to let us use the car and a driver for the night. "

Summer was pretty sure that Maddox's father didn't like her, but there had been no true confirmation. He was just...quiet...he barely ever said two words to her.

Summer gave him a small smile. "I can just drive us. I have my license, you know," she told him as she gave him a peck on the cheek. Then, she whispered in his ear, "I also have a surprise for you."

Maddox forgot about his dad for a second. The car issue could definitely wait. He took her by the waist and gave her a curious look.

"Yeah? What kind of surprise," he said the last word suggestively.

Summer smirked at him. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise." She gave him a kiss, pressing her body into his. "We should probably go to class now though before we get yelled at again for our hallway PDA," she giggled.

Maddox pulled Summer close and grabbed at her butt, but let her go quickly so they could start heading to class. He didn't mind getting yelled at, but he didn't like being the reason she did.

"Come on, give me a hint. You know it's going to drive me crazy," he said, taking her hand.

Summer smirked as she laced her fingers with his and headed towards class. "It's like this weekend. You can wait," she giggled and stopped in front of her classroom. "But, I hope you like it." She kissed him quickly and headed inside as the bell rang. "See you after class!" She blew him another kiss before disappearing around the corner.

Maddox shook his head in feigned disapproval as she blew him the kiss, then winked just before Summer turned and rounded the corner.

"This weekend? It's only bloody Monday," he said to himself as he headed in the other direction. Maddox was in decidedly less of a hurry to get to class.

The day went by so fast. Before Summer knew it, school was over and she was at her locker, packing up her book bag, waiting on Maddox. She was so excited for their weekend together, she could hardly stand it. When Maddox showed up, she threw her arms around him, hugging him tight.

"What are we doing tonight?" She gave him a wicked grin, "My mom won't be home until 11..."

Maddox smiled slyly at Summer holding her in his arms, his hand caressing the small of her back. "I am sure we can come up with something...Maybe you can tell me about my surprise," he added with a wink. "Let's go, we can grab some take out on the way."
