III. Mine, Mate
15th January
Mate? Is this guy actually from United Kingdom? Or Australia? No. That doesn't sound like he is only being friendly either. I'm sure I'll find out sooner than later.
Even through his confusion, he managed to blurt out whatever came to his mind first. He awkwardly raised his right hand to wave and said, "Oh, Hi there pal." Reaching out to offer a handshake, he added, "My name's Keifer. Nice to meet you." He finished with a small sigh silently thanking the heavens that he did not stutter.
This made the new comer crease his forehead staring at the hand in front of him. Despite also being confused, he chose not to ask questions and just opted to accept the handshake.
"Andréas Moonfort. I have been waiting for you." Looking straight at Kei who is still obviously oblivious about what he truly meant.
The moment their hands touched, Kei, who got shocked, (no pun intended), abruptly yanked his hand away without meaning to. It was as if he had touched a live wire. It was is if he was electrocuted.
What was that? Did he feel that too? That was shocking! I can't even read his face. Damn it. I seemed rude, didn't I?
"I... I am really sorry. I didn't mean to be rude its just that... It's just... Uhm..." He couldn't even form a coherent sentence in which his dad have noticed. For that he was thankful.
"What's wrong Kei. Are you okay?"
Wow that rhymed. *mental facepalm* Not a good time, Keifer. You screwed up, remember?
Facing Andréas, he continued, "I sincerely apologise Mr. Moonfort, can we continue our talk later at your place. My son and I seem to be more tired than I thought. I promise to be there this evening. Thank you again for personally welcoming us. It's such a pleasure to meet you." Shaking Andréas' hand as he slightly bowed his head to show respect.
"The pleasure is all mine. Thank you for accepting my father's absurd wishes and thank you for choosing to be here." Andréas responded staring at Kei who refused to raise his head to look at him.
That's just adorable. I can't wait for this evening.
He felt it, alright. That just confirmed whatever he had just speculated earlier. Not that he needed the pleasurable spark to tell him he was right; that he finally found the one.
With a new found inspiration, he bid his goodbyes to the guests he was initially reluctant to welcome. He must not forget to show his father gratitude.
The drive to the pack house seemed shorter than usual as his mind wandered to the beautiful creature that he had the honour to call his mate. He didn't expect to have a male mate, let alone a human. But if that was what the goddess had decided, she knew about these things more than he ever will. He trusts the goddess more than he trusts his own family. She will never be mistaken. And that was proven the first time he laid his eyes on the younger man, he knew there and then, he is going to live the rest of his life with Kei.
The exact moment he got slapped by that wind he knew—.
The aroma of apple tea mixed in with a hint of honey butter and coconut. Weird mix if you ask him, but at that moment, it seemed like the most delectable scent in the world, that it took almost everything in him to hold his wolf back. The mutt even won for a few seconds. Any later, and he would've lost all control and had his mate pinned down all marked and claimed.
"Keifer," my Omega.
He tried to say his mate's name, feeling it naturally roll off of his tongue. Remembering every bits of details he got from the short meeting. Ah, Keifer. With his seductive hazel irises, specked with tiny golds, straight nose above his plump lips.
The very lips that he can't help imagining wrapped around something... inappropriate.
He shook his head attempting to wash the thoughts away before he completely stare at nothing and be in the risk of an accident. He won't forgive himself if he died without even properly knowing his beloved. The person in question doesn't even know what mates are.
He called me pal? If that isn't adorable, then what is?
"Alpha dude~, somethin' good happened, eh? Yer smilin'. Wha' is it?" Defter, his beta, questioned.
He couldn't help it now, can he? He just found the missing piece he has been looking for 7 years. In his 25 years of living, today was the first time he truly felt alive. It felt different. At last he felt complete.
"You'll know this evening. Remember the Architect father have summoned from New York? Tonight, we will be having a simple dinner to welcome them. He brought someone." He said mysteriously. Forming his lips to a knowing smirk. He couldn't wait.
Tonight, you'll be all mine, mate.
