"Waaaah" the baby screamed. I begged Jesus to shut that booger-eating, no good, hair-pulling little rats mouth. I searched through my backpack for my earbuds. There. I pulled them out and plugged them into my cruddy iPod. I blasted the song 'Blank Space' by Taylor Swift. I knew people could hear it but that damn baby wouldn't pipe down.

ME: Lauren Donavan
Hi, I'm Lauren Donavan. I'm a 13 year old girl. I was born on October 19th 2001. I'm just about to start grade 8 in a few days. I live with my single mother and my brother Dylan.
Dylan is autistic, we found out when he was really young. He is 7. Our dad left when the family found out. He couldn't take the burden of having an autistic son. Dylan knows why he left. He doesn't remember our dad though. Since there is almost 7 years between us, I definitely remember my dad. But I won't forever. My mom told me my memory will fade. That one day, he won't be there anymore.
But we don't think of Dylan as a burden, he is amazing to us. He is our little angel from heaven. Most girls don't think of little brothers that way, but without him, I'd be lost. Every Friday, after school, we go to the autism ward in the hospital so Dylan gets the help he needs.
My mom and I have a really close relationship. She's like my best friend.
And that is pretty much our life.
