I ran toward the family just as the gun was fired, swiftly I jumped in front of them, landing the bullet straight through my chest and into the ground,straight through me.

---------Time Skip---------

( don't ask me why in both of my current books that it includes a hospital visit, No spoilers)

I woke up with a bright light shining on my face

I was only wearing some basketball shorts with just a bandage to cover up my chest, it was covered in blood.You could still see my abdomen since I didn't actually have a top on.

There wasn't a cover on the bed so my abs and bloodied bandage were on display.

I saw the silhouette of a figure sitting across from me, it was my mother.

"what-what are you doing here?" I asked in a worried and confused tone.

"I heard about what happened and I didn't want to loose the most important thing I have right now" she said with a sad smile as she started to tear up.

I tried to sit up using my elbows but the aganising pain in my chest was unbearable, I fell back down with a garish groan.This caused a nurse to sprint in and check my vitals.

She wrote a couple of things down before another doctor came in, a woman this time, she asked me;

"How are you doing, is anything in pain" I stared at her with a face saying 'are you stupid'
"well besides your chest" she continued with a slight blush.

"nah, I'm all good.....just a bit light headed is all" I finished to release us of the awkward silence.

The doctor just nodded and both of them left the room.

A knock sounded through the room as the door slowly opened, it revealed a worried looking girl with jet black hair and green roots, a tall man with ginger hair and short beard and the parents of those two guilty faced people.

"well I better go, since you're OK there isn't a reason for me to stay" my mum said gathering her belongings and scurrying out of the room.

"h-hey how are....erm....*clears throught*.... You?"
The girl asks me.

"I'm alright thanks, my chest just hearts a bit though" I replied slightly giving my hands over the bandage.

we carried on talking, but Billie couldn't keep her eyes off of my abdomen, or maybe lowe-

"Y/N you can leave now, but you have to take these along with your daily dose of anti-depressants and your anxiety meds" the doctors said walking up to me with crutches.

--------TIME SKIP TO Y/NS HOUSE------

One of my close friends drove me home, I couldn't ask Billie that would just be mean, she is probably going to an interview anyway.

I just sat on my bed for about 10 minutes just thinking about how a week or so ago I was in this same exact spot but not with a bullet hole through my chest, I started touching the bandage very lightly when there was a knock on the door.

I made my way down the stairs and towards the door to find a specific someone or something waiting for me behind it.
