“Are you okay? You look pale.” tanong ng lalaking nakatayo sa may puno ng manga sa tapat ng room namin.

Si Irven. He’s funny and talkative.

And he’s my boyfriend. Hindi ko alam kung paano naging kami. It just happened.

I rolled my eyes.

“I’m always pale. Kailan ba naman hindi.” I said flatly.

Tinawanan nya lang ako saka umiling.

“So, ano? Ihahatid na kita?” tanong nya saka ngumiti.

I forced a smile.

“Okay.”

Irven didn’t last though.

Akala ko makakalimutan ko si Gerard dahil may boyfriend ako, damn, I was so wrong.

I can’t stop myself from comparing them. And damn, Gerard always wins.

He’s just so… different.

Prom came. Of course, Irven was my date. And Gerard has Kath.

She’s too beautiful with her simple white dress, while I look… normal with my brown cocktail dress that I borrowed from ate Lyn.

I am insecure with my appearance. Ever since I was a child, people always compare me to my sister.

I am ugly. I know that. Plus, I’m fat.

The only thing that I can be proud of is my brain.

I let myself enjoy the night. I danced to my heart’s content. I laugh my heart out. And I eventually forgot about my worries and problems.

As the party goes on, I heard gossips from my classmates.

Nasa kiosk kami noon, eating cupcakes.

“Diba boyfriend mo si Irven? I saw him dancing with his ex.”

Magaling ha? Hindi nya pa nga ako naisasayaw, matatapos na ang event.

“And they’re very… close.”

I clenched my fists. I don’t love Irven. But my pride just doesn’t like what he did.

I broke up with him, eventually. He thought nasaktan ako kaya he apologized.

Natapos ang junior year ko ng madrama. Sa family at lovelife.

Oh, my life’s too colorful.

I spent my vacation writing stories and cuddling with my cat.

Nagkita din kami ni Raven one time, nilibre nya ‘ko ng kwek-kwek.

“Break na daw sila Gerard.” balita ni Raven nung nasa park na kami, kumakain.

Kumunot ang noo ko saka siya nilingon.

“And so?” I asked nonchalantly.

Gulat niya akong nilingon. I almost spat the food in my mouth after seeing his face.

“Hindi mo na sya crush?” hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Raven.

I shrugged.

“Maybe. Baka hindi ko na sya crush. Hindi na nga ako affected sa chismis mo.” sagot ko.

Hinampas nya ako sa braso kaya sinamaan ko sya ng tingin.

“Weeeh?” nang-aasar na sabi nya.

“Hindi na nga! Sasaksakin kita nitong stick!” iritado kong sabi saka ambang isasaksak sa kanya yung hawak kong stick.

Two days after enrollment, nai-post na ang designated sections ng senior.
