Chloe arrived at school one Monday morning and couldn't help the smile on her face grow even wider at the thought of seeing Beca again today. She found herself gravitating towards the brunette, even when she was spending time with her boyfriend more and more. As she walked up to the front steps of school, after parking her car, she took out her phone.

Me: Library lunch date, we can probably finish the essay by Friday. If you can stay focused ;) x - 7:38am

The redhead bit down on her lip, feeling a little guilty for the flirtiness that was radiating between the two of them, but couldn't help but think how natural it felt too. Just as she had opened her locker and looked inside to grab the books she needed for today, she felt the phone buzz in her hand to signal a reply.

Mitchell: Me, focused? You're the one that always distracts me with those blue swimming pool eyes of yours - 7:39am

She couldn't help but blush a little and smirk to herself before seeing another message pop through from the soccer star.

Mitchell: But, I can't sorry, I'm helping someone with something - 7:39am

"Helping someone?", she mumbled quietly to herself, not bothering to answer as she grabbed her books for today. "Think it's pretty obvious what that means", Chloe tried to push down the jealous feeling, closing the door to her locker and looking around the hallway for her friends.

"Hey, Chlo", she spun around then at the sound of her name being called to see Aubrey smiling and waving as the tall blonde jogged a little to catch up with her.

"Hi Bree, you okay?", shaking off her earlier feelings, she smiled back.

"Oh my god, have you heard?", Aubrey grabbed a hold of Chloe's hand, squeezing it excitedly as the two of them walked towards Homeroom together.

"What are you talking about?", Chloe laughed a little at how bubbly Aubrey was this morning.

"Homecoming proposals are starting today"

"Oh really? And who are you hoping will ask you?", Chloe raised an eyebrow, smirking as she clung tighter to the books in her hands.

"Oh, don't be silly, I'll be going with the group of girls", the head cheerleader flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder, "But", she drug out the word, nudging the redhead, "Everyone is waiting to see how Mitchell is going to ask you"

"Mitchell?", Choe snapped her head up, wide-eyed as she looked up at her friend, "As in-"

"Tom? Your boyfriend?", Aubrey furrowed her eyebrows, confused.

"Oh right, yeah", Chloe sighed as she couldn't believe that she had forgotten for a second, thankful that Aubrey didn't press further on the subject. "I doubt he'll do anything over the top, I mean we're already together", she shrugged her shoulders as the two walked into the homeroom now and looked for a seat.

"We'll just have to see", Aubrey winked, as if she knew of something that Chloe didn't. Chloe looked round the room to spot that Beca and Stacie were both still missing and just as the bell would sound out around the room, she would feel her phone buzz in her pocket.

Mitchell: Ignoring my messages is rude Beale. I thought your parents would've taught you better than that - 8:00am

Chloe shook her head a little, keeping her phone under the desk as she quickly replied.

Me: Being late to places that your meant to be is also bad manners x - 8:01am

Mitchell: Don't worry princess, I'll be right there ;) - 8:01am
