According to Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in people and many different species of animals including camels, cattle, cats and bats.

The global coronavirus was first detected in China and now has been detected in more than 100 countries. Coronaviruses are named for spikes that protrude from their surfaces, resembling a crown or the sun’s corona. The source of virus is believed to be a “wet market” in Wuhan which sold both dead and live animals. Such markets are at higher risk of viruses. The latest outbreak is an animal source that has not yet been identified. Bats were thought to be the original host but they were not sold at the Wuhan market. There’s currently no specific treatment for coronavirus. Antibiotics do not help as they do not work against viruses. You’ll need to stay.

Some common signs of this deadly infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.in more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. To remain safe from this virus, World Health Organization (WHO) suggests regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone with symptoms. If you suspect COVID-19, stay home and separate yourself from others. Cover your coughing and sneezing, wear a face mask and consult a doctor immediately.
