You could hear a pin drop in the cozy cafe atmosphere in which Jayla sat, nursing her medium Chai tea latte. She was comfortable. It was her weekly unwinding spot she pursued to write the short stories that perforated her mind. She unconsciously tapped the side of her cup as she hand wrote the words the spilled from a creative space until the feeling of someone watching her interrupted her flow. She looked up and her eyes met the eyes of a man from the other side of the room. Immediately she shivered. His gaze was intense for someone whom she never met, and it forced her to look away when she was unable to stand it much longer.

She kept at her literary hobby before her curiosity got the best of her, and she glanced up. His eyes. Those brown orbs. Still piercing through her. Only this time, they were accompanied by a slow smirk that revealed a dimple that she was sure made the women grovel at his feet. She blushed, and the other corner of his mouth curled to line his face with a smile. Now there were two dimples and she looked away again.
She stared down at her ball point pen lost, unsure what to write next as she suddenly lost the ability to think straight. She shut her eyes tight, trying to force herself back into the groove of writing, cursing herself for allowing a complete stranger to shake her up just by a look. Against her better judgement, she opened her eyes while looking up and yelped when those eyes were seated directly across from her.
