They married in April, April 15, 1972, to be exact. Lindsey and Stevie were high school sweethearts to an extent. She was a grade above him. They started dating when she was a senior and he was a junior. They married four years later after Stevie had graduated from college.
Lindsey had been working with his father at his coffee plant and after his death in 1975, though his mother ended up selling the plant, Lindsey still received a hefty amount of money from the will. With that money, he bought a plot of land in Santa Monica, as it was the dream of the young English teacher, his wife, to live there. Lindsey designed a gorgeous home and after his wife got to decorate it how she wanted the pair decided that they may have had something going for them. They got all of the certifications they needed and opened up a business. Buckingham Homes.
After several years of debt and a sad event for Stevie, more so than Lindsey, they finally broke even. They started building and designing homes for celebrities, and they also flip and sell houses for normal everyday people
Now in 1990, they're rich and debt-free but Stevie can't help but feel like something is missing. Especially when her husband fucks off to other states to aide clients, not Los Angeles Central and makes her stay home, opting to take Kristen Messner, another designer for the company instead.
