Phantom

Chapter 1

There was a lot not many knew about SHIELD. They were a organization that helped the world in secret, they did what shields did and that was protect people. Whether it be from HYDRA or the threats of alien life, they lived to serve and protect earth.

When SHIELD agents started to go out on missions against HYDRA - a evil organization that in their own right strived for order and freedom of the new world, their agents would come back injured or less in numbers. No matter how trained or skilled a level 3 or 4 agent was they would fall at the hands of HYDRA.

But things changed. And that's when the rumors started. It started when Agent Hill was assigned a mission alone - that's nothing new, the Director would sometimes send her out on missions alone but one that involved HYDRA! It was practically a suicidal mission - a one stop kills all type mission. And many agents thought so including Agent Hill, but she trusted her boss. He would send her out on the field without some form of protection and she was right.

The mission had gone south and agent hill found herself corner by at least seven armed HYDRA agents, it wouldn't have been a problem if she wasn't injured and unarmed but she wasn't going down without a fight. No matter what pain she endured she would power through it - or so she thought, one of those HYDRA agents stepped forward ready to end her life. He splat words of hate and mocked her in his native language - he raised his gun to end her, a bullet clean through his head. His body fell to the ground and with that chaos begun.
Agent Hill wasn't sure what was happening, one minute she was close to death and the next she found herself safely tucked in her room back on SHIELDs aircraft with a small note beside her bedside.

"Rest up agent" x phantom

From that point rumors begin spreading. SHIELD was getting outside help but from whom? A phantom?! Was it a person or some supernatural force SHIELD was powering up with?! No one really knows but agents who were lucky enough to be saved by said phantom always said they same thing. "My memories are foggy and I can't seem to remember what happened towards the end, all I remember is being close to death - blinking, and then being back in my room."

No matter what force of power this phantom person - being was SHEILD agents were great full for them. Until the avengers happened.
Earths mightiest heroes - Tony Stark better known as Iron Man, Bruce Banner better known as the Hulk, Steve Rogers better known as Captain America, Thor better known as Thor?And lastly Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff better known as Hawkeye and Black Widow. Those six individuals became earths saviors and soon the rumors of phantom creased to exist only to replaced by the greatness of SHIELDs newest killjoys.

Days went by since the team was formed, days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and month - years. Earths mightiest heroes always seemed to be fighting never one to catch a break, it started with Loki and his whole take over the world plan but that failed and than Ultron came to be which lead to the discovery of two gifted individuals - Wanda and her twin brother Pietro Maximoff. Sadly pietro didnt leave to tell his tale or become a hero that the world would know of.

The accords happened and the team broke up like a badly put together boy band - Steve found his old home at buddy a man named James Barnes - Bucky, as he liked to be called and everyone thought that was the end but than the war happened. T'Challa homeland Wakanda turned into a battlefield when Thanos arrived - SHIELD was gone and so was HYDRA, for now at least.

Years went by 8 to be exact and another battle happened this time involving the remaining avengers and with the help of some friends the world was restored and thanos was defeated, but a great loss happened and at the end Tony Stark lost his life.

SHIELD appeared from the shadows and helped the world as it was in need of their help, men prepared cities that had gotten destroyed, new agents arose from the ashes and were heavily trained. The avengers were back together but they weren't the same.

Tony was dead leaving his wife pepper and their daughter Morgan alone but never truly alone in the world, Peter was emotional damaged and begin working as a superhero this time spider man was apart of the avengers, Steve was gone - no, not dead. He went back in time and married his long lost love and everything seemed to be falling back into place.
Until it wasn't. Phantom was gone and HYDRA was on the rise growing in numbers fast, the world was in need of its savior and the avengers could not do this alone. A war was happening, a silent one. One between SHIELD and HYDRA, and this would be it's final battle.
